Yes absolutely. Why?

KojaksLollipop · Yesterday 17:48

They’d have lost a whole other person in weight, they’d look very different.

BatshitIsTheOnlyExplanation · Yesterday 17:49

13 stone is a lot! I'd expect them to look massively different.

SilenceInside · Yesterday 17:50

Yes of course. I’ve lost just over 11st and look very different.

But, maybe if they are super morbidly obese, to the point of being bed bound, then 13st might not be as big of a change? Even then I’d imagine it would be noticeable though.

peakygull · Yesterday 17:51

I’ve never weighed anywhere near 13 stone never mind losing it, I’d expect them to be unrecognisable!

This, it may be that others don’t want to mention it but though if the weightloss person is known to be sensitive about it. It also depends on starting and current weight- 35 stone to 22 or 22 to 9!

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · Yesterday 17:51

Yes, if they had started out at 15 stone.

Random321 · Yesterday 17:52

Yes - it's a significant difference.

I'm not sure how it couldn't impact how someone looks.

FirstdatesFred · Yesterday 17:52

Well yes, but it would depend how much of a percentage of their starting weight that was.
also how much they carry it in their face.

feathermucker · Yesterday 17:52

Of course I would unless they were super super obese but even then I’d be able to tell

Stoicandhappy · Yesterday 17:53

Yes of course.

youalright · Yesterday 17:58

Yes absolutely i weigh 13 stone and I'm fat so losing that amount is significant. When I've lost weight in the past people usually noticed after id lost 2 stone

WhereYouLeftIt · Yesterday 17:59

Depends.

If they started at 25 stones, yes of course.
If they started at 60 stones, maybe not.

Why do you ask?

They would look like and physically be a different person.

Even when I lost 7 lbs of fat and put on 7lbs of muscle, my face looked different. Stronger jawline, sharper cheek bones. Not to mention my body was much leaner with abs saying hello.

13 stone is life changing beyond belief.

Cookingandfoldingthings · Yesterday 18:00

Pretty much anyone would look massively different (even the super morbidly obese person)

Congratulations to @peakygull aren’t you marvellous

@Goodnessyoualldashoffdontyoureppies I’d also be wondering about the cost and the skin! would also hope that there wasn’t an awful underlying illness to blame.

Nonetheless I think I’d be pleased for them.

Depends.

If they started at 25 stones, yes of course.
If they started at 60 stones, maybe not.

Why do you ask?

I was going to say this. If you started at 35st and lost 13 then maybe not but if you start at 22st then sure I'd expect that losing over half their body weight would make a big difference.

OpheliaNightingale · Yesterday 18:01

I lost 4 pounds and my colleagues noticed!

Rizzz · Yesterday 18:02

Yes obviously.

Why such a tiny opening post?

Is there something you'd actually like to discuss?

Seend · Yesterday 18:08

I refuse to answer until you come back
to give more detail and context!

Why are you asking OP?

Have you lost a lot of weight and people, or one person in particular, haven't acknowledged the fact?

SilenceInside · Yesterday 18:10

Yes. I am very curious if this is about you or someone else @Weighloss777?

Silverbirchleaf · Yesterday 18:11

I know someone who has lost ten stone, and she looks a slimmer version of her former self . I know other people who have lost a couple of stone (in the past by dieting) and I’ve hardly recognised them.

trendysetter · Yesterday 18:11

Yes, I would expect them to look like a completely different person.
