To think that Tom Hardy is a misogynist?

He's been fired from Mobland for being hard to work with

Apparently he's been like this on other sets and seems to enjoy intimidating women, with Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron being named

I reckon he gives misogynist vibes and no longer find him sexy 😒😒

I don’t know enough about him.

LostTheButter · 26/05/2026 15:42

I don't really care. He's hot.

I reckon he wouldn't go near a fanny these days

'I reckon' is what you're basing your view on?

I reckon that's a bit thin as evidence goes.

Lahsania · 26/05/2026 15:47

Is this a story elsewhere, or just the Daily Mirror?

SixAndJuliet · 26/05/2026 15:48

Even if you take every word of that article as gospel, none of it says misogyny, just general arseholery and a lack of professionalism.

SereneFinch · 26/05/2026 15:49

Not sure about misogynist - the complaints seem to be about lateness and arrogance, not poor treatment of women specifically.

I've seen it a few times in different places but not really registered it as I don't know Tom Hardy or his work but presumably he was sacked for something

I'm basing my reckoning on the news stories about Tom's working relationships with woman, all widely available

I was surprised there wasn't already a thread

Seen him a couple of films. Not someone I really give much thought to.

BridgetJonesV2 · 26/05/2026 15:53

Seems to be that someone is doing a hatchet job on Tom, he's clearly pissed someone off somewhere. But I would add that Charlize Theron is notoriously difficult to work with, she blames it on being South African and "direct".

TomatoSandwiches · 26/05/2026 15:54

He's just another entitled self important male imo.

The only issue ive heard about her is working with tom Hardy

Its so much harder for men to be labelled difficult to work with than a woman

And someone that big - i reckon he is difficult 😬😬

His sexuality is his business, He’s a good actor - all he needs to be.

LostTheButter · 26/05/2026 16:00

His Wikipedia site says that he considers himself to be pro-feminism.

He could well be hard to work with but am sad about this decision. He was great in Mobland and the main character.
He was much more watchable than Helen Mirren who I generally enjoy in things but in Mobland she was like a pantomime villain just very unbelievable.

Lahsania · 26/05/2026 16:01

I saw him in the Kray Brothers film, he was really really good.

‘all actors are dicks ‘ is true, though. The urge to perform is a bit suss, when it’s taken to such levels.
