Driving like idiots
neighbours blasting loud music in their garden I can hear it in my house with doors and windows closed
smell weed everywhere
a lot of drunk anti social behaviour

yes I get some of this happens in normal weather but why does the hot weather cause it to surge or skyrocket?

In this thread - people hating on neighbours actually enjoying their gardens and using them for their intended purpose. 😂
I will be the nightmare neighbour playing music and having a cold drink next to my bbq this week, with my family around and ds playing with his cousins.. And loving it. 😂😂
Move to the country, God people are so antisocial nowadays.

If you’re the nightmare neighbour, yes you are anti social.

Kids playing, no problem, that’s what they should be doing, but why should anyone else have to listen to your shite music.

Bigpaintinglittlepainting · Today 06:18

lol we live in the country, there’s only 4 houses and a farm here and my neighbour plays his smart speaker all day really loud.

Some people are just ignorant wherever they are !

I have no problem with people playing music but why does it need to be at the volume of a nightclub? It’s possible to play your music so you can hear it but it doesn’t take over the gardens and houses of every neighbour. The house 3 doors down had incredibly loud house/trance music playing all day yesterday from about 1pm till after we went to bed. We could hear it in every room of the house all day and all night.

I have noticed that the riots we have had in the past 15 years or so have never started when it's pouring rain outside, and the ones that started in hot weather always stop immediately when the rain starts. So, clearly the rioters care deeply about their 'grievances', except not to the extent of getting rained on!

Do you live in a rough area, it's lovely and peaceful up my street but most of us are old.

Sartre · Today 07:51

Agreed. DH was out the other day and saw three young children sitting on top of a car roof, they were holding onto the roof racks… The dad was driving slowly but he was blasting his horn as he drove around so people would look and see his children sitting on the car roof. I just don’t know what to say. People are insane.

Yes I'm afraid it died.

I know gulls can be a nuisance but some people's behaviour towards them is absolutely atrocious. I won't repeat some of ths awful stories i've heard because they are really distressing.

I'm sorry to have upset you. I'm still quite upset about the incident as well.

Oh no 😭 upsetting.
What an absolutely horrible woman doing that .
glad someone challenged her

So Saturday morning at 6 am was the noisy dog walkers. Today’s treat at 7.30 on a Sunday was a toddler shrieking while riding up and down on a scooter. Cunts

Are you including the toddler in that?

People are enjoying the sun. They’re allowed to listen to music or indulge in a little bit of cannabis. Loosen up a little.

I totally agree with this.
It's one of the reasons why I hate hot weather.

I live in a seaside place so we see the worst of behaviours. I haven't got over the disgusting behaviour of a Glasgow woman who hit a seagull over the head with a glass bottle here last year on a crowded beach. One of the local peope bravely confronted her.

The fights and the anti social behaviour and the necessity now of having a continual police presence patrolling the beach on hot days. And the litter and debris left behind is just awful.

Very depressing.

Edited

Thats terrible but whats her heritage got to do with it

Did you just call a toddler a cunt for having fun?!

Where we spent part of the afternoon yesterday was nice , a busy little town not too far from us .
People sat outside , mostly on the shady side of the street , having coffees and ice creams .
Kids playing in the shady park , people sat by the river under the trees just relaxing .
We saw a couple of wedding parties , I was people watching and remarking on some of the dresses women wore ( mostly lovely day dresses , midi dresses , one or 2 were backless with really pretty ties across the back )
There was a low level buzz coming from one of the pubs that has a large seating area outside .
However had we gone to the coast I think it would’ve been so busy and kids get all hot bothered and crying , huge queues just to get a drink or ice cream .

Totally.

I went to the beach 8.30am as I knew we would need to leave by mid morning.

Speakers blasting, drinking, swearing, dogs everywhere - I don’t give a shiny how friendly it is, I don’t want your beach wet dog jumping on me!

That was only 11am…

Haven't they got dog-free beaches round your way?

All the beaches in my county have sections where dogs aren't allowed. You should lobby the council to set aside dog-free bits if they haven't already done so.

escape · Today 08:56

It's perfectly acceptable to exist and socialise in your own gardens in warm weather - for heavens sake.
What isn't is literal noise pollution before 8am or after, say midnight.
Why people think a neighbourhood wants to listen to an all night garden rave is beyond me. Now thats anti social.

That’s what I just asked too. If they did, I’d say the label fits them better.

Honestly it’s disgusting. Imagine being that angry at a child for existing and having some fun

When the weather is hot we get a lot of people visiting here who show no respect for the place or the wildlife, or the local way of life. They sort of " take over" the place - actually like a significant percentage of holiday makers going to various holiday destinations all round rhe world.

We get a lot of Glaswegians visiting here and I mentioned where the woman came from really just to convey the fact that she was a visitor . I lived in Glasgow long enough myself to know ALL Glaswegians aren't like that - there are lots of different types of people there including a lot of brilliant people.

Sounds a bit like where I live. In my road of approx 50 houses, there are only a few with children of school age or younger. It was much noisier when I moved here 30-odd years ago, the children next door were horrendously noisy, they'd be screaming and shouting until sunset some evenings. Now I only hear noisy kids when they visit and bring their own children! The woman across the road has been here for about 8 years and her children are now secondary age, but they've never been noisy.

I feel really privileged to live in an area where people are generally very considerate. When neighbours have had barbecues they tend to start early, don't play music out of doors and they go home or go indoors by around 9 pm, and parties are rare and usually end around midnight or soon after.

One neighbour in the next road had a 40th birthday party a couple of years ago and the music was still going at 6am the following day, but it wasn't very loud and with the windows closed it really wasn't a problem.

Being forced to retreat indoors as billows of smoke pour from a neighbouring garden 🤬
