To think some people never heal because being the victim gives them identity?

If healing means losing the story, some cling to the wound.

Hmm, I agree to an extent such as I know a few people around me who haven't experienced trauma or abuse but make themselves the "victim" in every story as an excuse for their behaviour.

Personally, I'm not a victim, I'm a survivor and I will be vocal about certain things in the appropriate setting because it's important our voices are heard.
