AIBU to think drying washing outside is still normal?

Just getting a load of washing in and DH has declared that no one dries their washing outside anymore and that it is ‘niche’.

Don’t get me wrong, I use the tumble dryer when I need to but surely it is better (and cheaper) to use the line, especially on a day like to day when we have had sunshine and a breeze??

Washing dried outside smells the best, plus as soon as it’s sunny it dries v quickly

I was thinking about this again this morning (it's a beautiful sunny, chilly, breezy day here and the washing will dry a treat outside). Niche, though? Your DH sounds more as though he's talking about a hobby than a necessary household task - does he think we're only hanging stuff outside because it's some kind of weird pastime for us?

I mean you can do what you like but washing doesn't look "horrible" and someone is paying for your electric,

I purposefully bring washing to hang in my parents garden as we don’t have room in ours!

Seeing your washing blowing on the line on a sunny day is one of life's pleasures.

My towels always go in the tumble drier because I need my super soft towels but everything else if possible goes outside!

Living my best life today and yesterday - did all my bedding yesterday and today all my other stuff is on the line. I love line dried washing.

I have my bedding out today although maximum temperature will only be 13⁰C but it's sunny and windy. Its supposed to get warmer over the next few days so I'm aiming to get the other beds changed too
