my boyfriend just sent me this photo of himself, but why does it have a heart at the bottom?

Because he captioned it with a heart?

Because it’s a picture message with a caption, and he put the heart emoji as the caption.

What exactly is the problem? Why would you think he meant to send it to someone else?

The heart is a caption. Is it a photo or a screenshot though, what’s with the volume bar on the left?

I would be worried about him as it looks like his arm is trapped in a freezer. The ❤️ is to tell you when they find his frozen body that he always loved you.

What he’s done:

He’s sent a screenshot to you via WhatsApp. That’s all obvious.

The screenshot shows:

Boyfriend (BF) receiving a message from Unknown person (UP). If he sent it to someone else it would sit on the right side of the screen, not the left.

UP has sent a picture of BF, to BF. Followed by a heart emoji. On what looks like Instagram DM, Facebook Messenger or iMessage.

BF has then screenshotted this. And sent it to you on WhatsApp.

Yep, I’d be concerned too. It’s a screenshot of a photo he has sent someone.

I’ve just trialled this with my own boyfriend who is in the house with me and thinks I’m now randomly sending beef messages.
I added the heart in the message bar and it sent along with the picture.
So he’s sent it directly to you 😁

The first reply was spot on, not sure what some of the other replies are on about. The message you received at 17:29 was "❤️" and it had the picture attached.
The easiest way to verify this yourself is simply to tap the picture. It will show it in full screen (without the text in the message - in this case the heart)

You can tell its a screen shot because of the image of the volume at the left hand side I think.
