Several friends seem to have jumped on the supplements bandwagon recently (collagen, magnesium, creatine) and I'm wondering how worthwhile they are.

Have you notified any positive effects or side effects?

Creatine - definitely the leanest and most muscle I’ve ever had. I’d already worked on nutrition and then added creatine and definitely got even better results. I had been nervous before taking it but just make sure you drink plenty of water with it.

I had to give up creatine because I looked bigger than I prefer to look. Something about creatine making your muscles hold more water? In any case, the definition on my abs returned when I quit creatine.

I take:

A multivitamin with iron
Ashwaghanda (for anxiety and overthinking)
Vegan Omega 3 (keeps my eczema at bay)
Feroglobin gentle iron (the multi vitamin iron isn’t enough for me)
Evening Primrose Oil (has helped with menopause symptoms, I have stopped having night sweats!)
High Fibre tablets (to counter act the extra iron)
Berbarine (I eat a lot of carbs and this helps me to not gain weight)

A few of you have mentioned fish oils and I remember when they were the thing to take. Now it's magnesium, vitamin D and creatin?

I’ve been using a seaweed-based supplement called Beauty+ and it’s honestly made such a difference for me. It’s packed with vitamins, and the seaweed helps support thyroid function too.

I feel so much better overall, and it really shows—my skin is finally glowing after years of dull, acne-prone skin. I’ve also noticed improvements in my hair and nails!

Vit D and Omega oil, creatine and recently tumeric (I dont really believe in that last one but I got injured few weeks ago before my first half marathon and was prepared to try anything😅). I eat well and only take what is scientifically proven to be beneficial as a general rule x I rarely get ill x

Turmeric is great for inflammation 😊 just make sure it includes black pepper, as that helps your body absorb the curcumin (the active ingredient) much better <3
