The BBC loves talking about itself. Didn’t some weather reporter leave a few days ago? I’d never heard of her. The BBC made it seem like the Kings abdication.

Yes, Carol Kirkwood who has been the main weather presenter on BBC Breakfast for over 25 years has retired. She also competed on Strictly Come Dancing. You may not have heard of her, but she is well known. And no, the BBC did not make it seem like the King's abdication. That would have been much bigger news. They made it seem like a popular presenter was retiring.

He will miss his salary without a doubt and all his side-lines eg getting £81,000 for being in panto. No one will want to employ him. I am reminded of ex dj Dr Fox, he wasn't taken on by any radio station since he was accused of various misdeeds. Sadly I can see him selling his house. I must admit I wonder how long his marriage will last. I always remember Debbie McGee being asked by Mrs Merton what attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels. I wonder how long Sam will want to be part of a partnership with Scott especially if his money is no longer available.

Dr Fox is still a DJ. He joined Thames Radio after he was acquitted of all charges, then joined United DJs, an internet radio station. He currently works for Nation Radio, presenting the Nation Network Chart Show on Sundays and the Afternoon show on Nation 80s and Nation 90s.
