I think you are going to have to be clearer on what's gone on as I have no idea where to start on deciding if I think yabu or not

NotThisAgain1987 · 24/03/2026 18:43

I assume you will be getting some help with educating him about boundaries and what no means. Obviously you're not capable.

Exactly. Do you think a 15 year old is incapable of sexually abusing someone?

PennySweeet · 24/03/2026 18:45

Do you mean he had a girlfriend?

When you say a warning what do you mean? I think if he hasn’t been arrested and interviewed then you should consider he’s been extremely lucky. They are also required to take seriously all allegations made to them. Your comments are pretty offensive actually - what do you think they should do? Just write her off as a liar ?

Echobelly · 24/03/2026 18:48

I'm sure this is very upsetting for you, but at the end of the day, consider it a good warning. Police being involved for him just asking a girl to touch him (presumably intimately) seems a bit over-the-top, so I have to wonder if it was a bit more than that? Did she make a complaint or did her parents (eg maybe they saw phone messages)?

I don't think it's some sign he's terribly abusive but maybe not mature and he evidently made this girl feel unsafe. The most important lesson from this is not 'OMG, girls are manipulative liars, this one is obviously nuts, be careful who you pick!' but be mindful of girls' boundaries and respect them.

HeNeedsRehab · 24/03/2026 18:55

Do 15 year olds get warnings off the police without an adult being involved?

Itsmetheflamingo · 24/03/2026 18:56

I doubt he’s had a warning from the police tbh. OP would’ve been present for the interview

It was a caution. It was his gf and she said he asked her to touch him! She said yes there was no forcement

Is 'axles' a typo or a colloquialism or something?

Sorry for sounding dim but Google is giving me nothing to fit the context.

why did you allow him to accept a caution?

If it's a caution that's very much not a warning that's him admitting guilt and will be seen on his record until 18 possibly longer given the offence. If it were a caution, tbh this feels like a rage baiting troll post, that has serious implications and he should have received legal advice prior to accepting it. Also there's way more than can you touch me for it to escalate that high.

What is a police caution? - Liberty

What does accepting a police caution mean? What is a conditional caution? Will a caution show up on your criminal record?

It’s hurt me so much. The story is

my son is 15 and goT a gf
she said my son told her to touch him and she said yes? Yes it’s wrong but she said yes? How’s that sexual abuse? Or am I being stupid ? What about it’s not the truth ? What she said?

If he has a police caution he has to have accepted that he committed a crime.

You need to be a bit clearer of events really

Createausername1970 · 24/03/2026 19:10

If the police got involved then there has to be more to this than two teenagers having a grope.
