To buy this ski suit?

I am going skiing and although a pretty ‘normal’ dresser I do LOVE bright colours/retro on occasion.

Are these ski suits amazing, or am I in need of an intervention? I love this one and hovering over ‘checkout’!

Get it!

Everlil · 06/03/2026 16:03

I think skiwear is where you can go a bit ott with colour and pattern. Unless you’re at a more upmarket resort (where clothing is more fashionable), people wear all sorts of bright colours and patterns. I had a similar one to this in the mid-90s as a child and loved it! I’m not such a fan of all in ones now as I find them too awkward.

I don’t think you’ll look like a dick (or cool!), if you like it go for it!

TheExtraGuineaPig · 06/03/2026 16:05

Are you a half decent skier? Then get it!! I love it but I’m such a slow bumbler I wouldn’t do it any justice. (Also that’s just for me because I’m self conscious, I would actually think anyone looked good in it, even a total beginner)

Nope! I might be by the end of the holiday though 🤔🤣

You’ll look great but you’ll regret it when you need to go for a wee….

Wherestheteenguide · 06/03/2026 16:25

Love it but I like the flexibility of separate trousers and jacket.

7238SM · 06/03/2026 16:28

I'd likely think you'd bought it off vinted, not spent £300 for it! If you ski often and will use it, then go for it.

I agree with the above posted about the loo issue though. Ski toilet floors are always wet so you'd need to ensure the sleeves don't drag on the floor when sitting on the loo. This is whilst also holding your gloves, googles, getting toilet paper etc. I vividly recall an Italian resort where the mountain toilets were squat style- not even a seat. I never wore a one piece since because that was a lesson in flexibility and balance.

domenica1 · 06/03/2026 16:35

OP it’s not good. It marks you out as a cheesy Brit from a mile off. (Occasionally the Dutch wear silly stuff too though I guess.)
you can get loads of fab colourful skiwear of all
budgets that’s decent technical stuff and will
last years. This isn’t it.
it probably depends where you go - if it’s a big French or Austrian party place there may be some groups (usually men) wearing this novelty stuff but in more stylish places you could end up feeling like a total nitwit. Especially if you aren’t a good skier and aren’t familiar with the usual fashions!

Natsku · 06/03/2026 16:51

I love it but agree that an all-in-one suit is a nightmare, you really want separate trousers and jacket, unless you're not going to need the loo until you're done skiing for the day.

TheStepboardisfullofbitteroddos · 06/03/2026 18:01

You see quite a lot of oosc stuff on the slopes. It's fun, it's not super amazing tech stuff but it's not awful. Skisuits are annoying for all day skiing if the weather changes and toilet breaks.

I bought an awful 90s suit for a birthday ski holiday and everyone smiled at me. Luckily it was decent weather as it wasn't at all waterproof!

Drivingmissrangey · 06/03/2026 18:04

I’m all for the all in one but that’s a bit full on for me.

Going to the loo is a massive faff when skiing anyway (why so many stairs??!!) so I wouldn’t let that put you off.

Octavia64 · 06/03/2026 18:08

Looks fine to be colour wise.

however I have skied at various times of year and the ability to sometimes take my coat off or open it up is useful. Easter in particular can be warm!

FriedFalafels · 06/03/2026 18:22

Wear what makes you happy! Just remember all in ones can be a pain when you go to the toilet or in a restaurant.

Rachierach11 · 06/03/2026 18:28

I love it! However, we were skiing last week and it was absolutely boiling so I think I would really struggle if I was wearing an all in one suit. Also the toilets at ski resorts are really gross and I would definitely drop an arm in the toilet bowl whilst faffing about

DameOfThrones · 06/03/2026 18:31

I can't vote because I don't like it but that doesn't mean you're going to look like a dick if you wear it.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 06/03/2026 18:43

Go for it! You’ll be nice and easy to spot in a blizzard!

LIZS · 06/03/2026 19:26

Er. No

Ablondiebutagoody · 06/03/2026 19:29

Hideous

SoSoLong · 06/03/2026 21:30

All-in-ones are for under 7s. Leaving aside the toilet issue, it's March, the moment you come off the slopes and stop for a drink you'll want to take your jacket off. The pattern is a bit much for me, but if you like it, go for it.

Sprig1 · 06/03/2026 21:45

I think it's great. Buy it.

welshweasel · 06/03/2026 21:49

I have one - bought off Vinted! Super comfy and fun, wouldn’t pay full price though. They aren’t very padded so fine if it’s warm, you’ll need layers under if it’s cold. No issue when you stop, just take your arms out and tie them round your waist.

paddingofpaws · 06/03/2026 21:53

Cringe. Most people aren’t trying to seek so much attention

CharlotteStreetW1 · 06/03/2026 21:54

It's decades since I last skied. Does anyone wear ski pants (like stirruped leggings) these days? They were so easy to dress with...

happygarden · 06/03/2026 21:58

It depends on when you are going. I used to go snowboarding in March and very often would end up taking my jacket off and would just be in my T shirt. Separates are probably more practical

tutugogo · 06/03/2026 21:59

It seems like it’s waterproof but all in one suits are a pain for the toilet. I prefer over trousers (hiking ones) with thermal leggings plus jogging bottoms underneath if cold, snd and a 3 in one technical mountaineering jacket that’s water and wind proof but that’s because my clothes do double or triple duty
