The fact you have heavily reduced it overtime will be a red flag and will put people off - the likes of Property Log will pick this up.

A very miserable man with no possessions.

Who eats a singular ready meal every night, before wanking and crying himself to sleep

dairydebris · 15/02/2026 17:02

I wouldn't buy this because it looks like its been recently done in grey black and white. I'd feel like I was paying for someone else's decor choices. Rather a cheaper doer upper that I could decorate to my own taste.

Paint all the grey surfaces white or something warmer. Put some cosy wood furniture in. And some plants. Weed the front of house and sort out back garden.

Basically it feels like a flip that I'd have to undo.

Happytaytos · 15/02/2026 17:02

The first picture looks more like and office or municipal building. It lacks any appeal.

The inside is empty so you can't tell how big anything is. The kitchen is tiny for the price.

It's a bit greige which is out of fashion.

Simonjt · 15/02/2026 17:03

Was the photographer laying on the floor?

The pictures need to flow, so when you swipe its like you’re walking through the property.

Weed your front garden and then brighten it up with some well kept pots. Where in the house is the weird bathroom that doesn’t have a door? The bathroom upstairs appears to be carpeted. Why is there only one picture of the kitchen? It makes it look like theres barely any kitchen in the kitchen room.

Its a lovely home, but the photos need sorting and it just needs a bit of character inside, its too bare.

WearyAuldWumman · 15/02/2026 17:03

You might have to get someone in to fix the fence, but that looks like an easily maintained garden - you should be able tidy it up in a weekend.

ProfessionalComplex · 15/02/2026 17:03

It looks like an abandoned office: grubby, and very stark and 'hard'. Not just lacking homely touches but all the colour/decor choices are like it so money needed to soften it. Kitchen is dated, suspicious theres no pictures of the garden. Pictures are just not the best - cant believe the price for what it is but not familiar with swindon.

Didimum · 15/02/2026 17:04

The outside looks scrubby and unkept. The empty rooms look cold and featureless. The layout is odd – basically a bungalow with a loft extension. These are difficult for family homes as some people don’t like being on a different floor to their children.

no garden photos?

user8539762897 · 15/02/2026 17:04

Weeds. Collapsing fence. Is there even a garden?
very little living space for number of bedrooms. Where would you even put sofa/dinning table.
The worst photo of the bunch as the Title picture - I’d imagine most would scroll past.
Better pictures and a good tidy up outside. Some colourful pots would help. And maybe a bit of colour somewhere inside/curtain/cushions/pictures/vase of flowers. It’s a sea of bland cold grey.

Sesma · 15/02/2026 17:05

It looks like one of those houses that builders buy and refurbish to make a profit

catipuss · 15/02/2026 17:05

It's one of those modern designs that doesn't age well, all the black on the front, and a very impersonal look. I don't think many people would consider living there from the outside shot. I agree with changing the first photo to a nice internal one to stop people just scrolling past and give you a chance.

ResusciAnnie · 15/02/2026 17:06

You need to add some kerb appeal that’s for sure. It looks like a derelict church hall from the outside 😬 so I think a lot of people wouldn’t even click on the listing.

Also you need to stage downstairs, not just the bedrooms. What is this space, for example?? Too small to be a proper room so I assume a utility but you need something in the photo to make it clear.

This is part of the house flip budget hopefully!

Blushingm · 15/02/2026 17:06

The single chair and fire place makes it look like where you’d take a kidnap victim to interrogate them

OlympicWomen · 15/02/2026 17:06

I think it would help if you got rid of those carpets as well.

Itsmetheflamingo · 15/02/2026 17:06

OMG I adore it.

Sorry but this made me 😂

I've failed to find it on Streetview also.
Outside is terrible.
Inside too dark and grey.
Where's pics of the utility room and garden??

2026Y · 15/02/2026 17:07

The cover photo is awful. It looks brutalist. You do need to include an ‘outside photo’ (I hate it when people don’t photograph what you’re buying) but the outside shot is not the best one by any means.

BillieWiper · 15/02/2026 17:07

I can't see any evidence of a garden or outdoor areas?

Ohfudgeoff · 15/02/2026 17:07

sidsgranny · 15/02/2026 16:44

Honestly? The front is really unwelcoming. Where's the front door? I don't think the internal photos are great. None look like rooms that are lived in. Just a single chair with a fireplace? I think it needs to be staged much better.

Came to say this! No kerb appeal whatsoever, looks a very ugly building from that first photo and the second photo doesn't redeem itself at all either.

No idea where the front door is.

No picture of the other side of the kitchen with oven? Kitchen looks like it needs a refit so I'd hardly say extensive renovation, bathroom and a lick of paint is all I'd say?

Lack of light in one of the eaves bedrooms. Looks dull.

Where is the storage?

Why are there no pictures of the outside space/garden? Is it because it's terrible?

Essentially - I can't envisage the space as a home, every about it is dull and lacklustre. Is it currently inhabited?

Sorry!

Didimum · 15/02/2026 17:08

Also – your family bathroom in the entrance way with a fully glazed front door? Far from ideal.

Wingedharpy · 15/02/2026 17:09

Is the street view link on the listing the right street?
I was also fascinated by the bike dump/garden on the street.
Sorry OP, it just looks soulless.

tuvamoodyson · 15/02/2026 17:10

Are there any wardrobes?

Astronautsdontcareaboutbeans · 15/02/2026 17:10

The solitary Ikea Poang chair….i can’t!

I’ve just noticed this as well, I’ve street viewed the entire street and the property isn’t on that road.

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 15/02/2026 17:10

Your new EA needs shooting. What a crap listing. The house is on a different street from the map pin! The Streetview images from pre-painting the external woodwork black are much more appealing and more in keeping.

Sorry OP but get the EA to up their game.
