Agree with others, whilst you've clearly done lots inside the photo angles and lack of furniture are not showing it in its best light e.g. half a fire place, a shot of half the hallway and into 2 bathrooms. Photo of the stairs going into the lounge. They all make it look small. Plus it needs weeding outside.

mypinkdog · 15/02/2026 16:53

The first photo is awful 😬 Is this a bungalow which was converted? For my taste it's too clinical and austere - the expanses of white tiles and black . I really think you need better photos too.

TeddyBeans · 15/02/2026 16:45

Being brutally honest, the outside doesn't look well cared for. There's weeds along the front edge of the house and the yellow brick looks grubby. Can you give it a tidy up and have the photos taken again?

This. Good luck OP its lovely inside.

Fishchipspeascupoftea · 15/02/2026 16:53

Id agree with the kerb appeal/not being able to see a front door.
As a disabled person who is looking to move shortly the big thing that would put me off (and i see it all the time) is why has the accessible floor got a bath not a shower. I cant climb the stairs to access the shower so I'd have to rip out the brand new bathroom (which I'm assuming I'm paying a premium for). So I'd think twice about even viewing.
Also regarding front door I wouldn't want to waste yours or my time if the front door has steps thats not a deal breaker but if I cant easily put in a ramp after purchase it would be. Such a simple thing to show. I hate having to ask the estate agent these questions just so I know if its even worth viewing.

LaurieFairyCake · 15/02/2026 16:54

Definitely weed the front, the kitchen is the worst as it’s like you did the whole house and then obviously run out of money. Get rid of the stuff crammed in the sides of the fridge and put some posh appliances on the work surfaces.

Then retake the photos, they are SHOCKING. If the agent did this then they should have been redone and I suspect this is why you’ve had to reduce.

Takersgonnatake · 15/02/2026 16:55

Picture one is actively off putting, unkempt and doorless. Actually in any picture that shows the outside it looks weedy and unloved. Love the way the floor flows through the rooms downstairs but the one ikea chair? Why? Either stage it properly or have it clear. It’s incongruous and makes me feel like you aren’t serious sellers.

Brightbluesomething · 15/02/2026 16:56

Sorry but you’re going to have to do some work before this is appealing. You won’t even get what you paid for it with the current photos.
No kerb appeal at all. Can you paint the end of the house? Some planters with climbing plants on the brick wall would hide it a bit. Kitchen is pretty grim and would need replacing. No dining table anywhere? Bathrooms good and main bedroom ok, rest of the rooms need staging.
Outside the weeds need to go. Including the sides as you can see them through the patio doors.

JackJarvisEsq · 15/02/2026 16:56

The kitchen looks small and dated for a 4 bed house.

i can’t see much in the way of storage

who is your market buyer?

edit to add I now see a shower room: it was covered by the “call the agent” button

Row23 · 15/02/2026 16:56

Could you paint the yellow brick white? I think that will make it look more modern. Pop some hanging baskets with colourful flowers up. Get rid of the weeds.
Get the photos redone. They’re not actually showing the rooms very well at all - there’s half a room or half a fireplace. It’s like they’ve tried to be arty but it just looks weird.

ghostyslovesheets · 15/02/2026 16:57

Back garden - as seen through the window in one picture is a weedy mess with broken fences

Kitchen looks really dated

front looks tatty

photos are odd, confusing, don’t flow at all

empty house random furniture

it’s a bungalow

I had a house to sell. Was able to weed and tidy up the front garden myself. (Cut the hedge myself, weeded the gravel, pruned a shrub.)

I got someone in to clean up the patio for me and a gardening firm to shape the leylandii hedge, hawthorn hedge and shrubbery for me. Also had the cherry tree pruned. It made a significant difference and I got two offers within the week.

HeartyBlueRobin · 15/02/2026 16:58

I agree about lack of kerb appeal. Some flowers and greenery (even if temporary) is required.

My biggest bugbear would be having to access the living room via the kitchen. I'd have to get rid of the downstairs toilet and have an access through there. Three toilets in a four bed house isn't required.

ScaryM0nster · 15/02/2026 16:58

Get some professional photos.

Make the bed properly. Tidy away the clutter. Furnish the rooms, or add photoshopped furniture.

It looks soulless and run down, which is probably because the outside is tatty, it doesn’t have fake bright blue sky like most listings do, and there’s no furniture but there is clutter b

Astronautsdontcareaboutbeans · 15/02/2026 16:58

It looks like a house not a home. Who in their right minds would look at the grey drab outside and think ‘oh I can imagine living there!’ I’m not being facetious, you must see for yourself it’s staged with zero appeal to anyone buying it for a home and not an investment opportunity.

HugoThatway · 15/02/2026 16:58

No kerb appeal. Had to look at the floor plan to make sense of the layout.

Interior looks cold and uninviting. Very grey. Doesn't sell a lifestyle.

the perfect black canvas

ForLoveNotMoney · 15/02/2026 16:59

Has anyone tried to find it on street view? I failed but found a house with 100’s of bikes! 🤣

BBKP · 15/02/2026 16:59

Not a lot of kitchen for the size of house. I would also say the pictures of downstairs aren’t great, don’t show everything.

Overthebow · 15/02/2026 16:59

It looks unlived in and not homely. There’s no furniture in it. If I were moving in I’d need to re-do the kitchen as it looks quite dated, and I really don’t like dining tables in the living room, for that sort of price I’d want a big kitchen diner or a separate dining room. There’s no pictures of the garden which makes me think that it’s tiny or needs lots of work. I also don’t like downstairs bedrooms in a house and there’s no separate living areas so would count this as a 2 bed rather than 4 bed plus a study and a snug as the living room is really the dining room. The price is too high.

carconcerns · 15/02/2026 16:59

It looks like a man lives there alone

WhistPie · 15/02/2026 16:59

Looking at the link to street view, I can't see this house at all, but I'm fascinated by the house with the bike graveyard that's getting bigger with every photo!

ILiveForTheYadaYada · 15/02/2026 17:00

Where is the other side of the kitchen? The oven? This is not shown just a teeny suggestion on the one kitchen photos with missing doors.

Also no garden photo so no outside space shown. The bedroom photos need labelling because there is no furniture to distinguish.

There is no photo of the utility area and the kitchen looks out into that rather than the garden. You have to walk through the kitchen to get to the lounge.

I know this isn't want you want to hear but it looks like you ran out of money so the kitchen is dated and not presented well and the outside looks drab especially the weeds and the render could have been cleaned or painted.

Choosing carpets and painting the fireplace and staircase grey which has been around for a long time will also put buyers off. The wall colour is lovely though.

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 15/02/2026 17:00

I clicked on Streetview and couldn't find it!

The interior has no mid-century charm. It's been given a standard grey makeover and is pretty soulless.

People want larger kitchen diners, not living room diners. For that number of bedrooms a larger kitchen is more in proportion.

Where are the photos of the outside space other than the drive? What others think are weeds could be a tiny box hedge, but I can't tell.

If you've had no viewings it's down to price.

WearyAuldWumman · 15/02/2026 17:00

I'll add that a bit of the fence on the house that I was selling was broken. I got someone to fix the fence and that I painted the fence and gate myself.

Seeingadistance · 15/02/2026 17:00

The outside is unkempt and the interior looks to have very low ceilings but that could just be the photos.

I’d get the outside space weeded and cleaned, put some attractive plants, even in pots. No pics of the back garden and I’m on my phone so can’t see well but from the view from a window it’s looks like the back garden is as weed-infested as the front.

Stage the interior with nice furniture, rugs, pictures, plants.

And get good photos taken.

Good luck, OP!

It will sell, you just need to make it a home that someone can aspire to living in.

A very miserable man with no possessions.
