AIBU to think that the inappropriate behaviour started a long time before the wedding dance...??

She is just constantly in pose mode, I saw a short video of her when David received his knighthood and it was all about her and how her legs should be positioned for the photo

It’s how you are comforted as a child and not as a grown women of 37 - it’s a regression to being a child instead of being adult when you are one

can you really not think yourself what’s weird about it - just picture it!!!

Well weird is one thing- individuals find all sorts of things weird that others get on with - but “not ok” indicates unacceptable, improper, illegal - something that the public or authorities get a say in.
And I can’t reconcile that language to behaviour within the family

isitspringyet · 25/01/2026 08:40

Of course nothing wrong with motherly love! The way VB drapes herself over B tho is performative, unnatural and he looks like an uncomfortable prop for a posed photo shoot. Strange way to raise children plenty of other much more famous celebrities don’t monetise their family. Shame it’s VB and NP are being blamed tho isn’t DB equally self obsessed with posting stuff?

SoftIce · 25/01/2026 08:42

I'm reminded of a wedding I went to. Neither the bride or the groom were into public displays of affection, so the "kiss the bride" moment was just a peck on the lips. The photographer kept saying: "I missed it! Please do it again!"

Nothing wrong with kissing your son on the cheek. However, I think what some people are missing here is that she held that pose for at least ten seconds so that the photographers could capture it. That makes it a pose, for other people's likes, not spontaneous affection.

To some extent I actually understand the posing for a red carpet event. But I don't know when Victoria was last looking natural in family photographs. Maybe when she and David first got together? These days, she just can't seem to stop posing. I wonder if it annoys David too, and that's why he is so cold towards her.

TheBlueKoala · 24/01/2026 19:45

Really? I wouldn't look at my sons with desire ... but then the whole family seem to lack normal boundaries with David kissing Harper full on lips. She's a teen! It's really inappropriate and bordering incest.

I'd be very careful with what you're suggesting.

beigeybeige · 25/01/2026 08:47

I’ve always felt sorry for the Beckham kids because the parents are raging egomaniacs and can’t ever have enough money or publicity. David being so entitled about not getting a peerage said it all.

The pictures are fine.

Unless she kissed him like that on the first day of Year 7 at a new school in front of a group of Year 9s.

But isn’t this way worse, or as bad as a group of y9s….. it’s in front of the world’s media!

I dunno - she’s more interested in posing to look good and focussed on that instead of on him. He’s probably hugely nervous here and needed his mum to just be ‘mum’ and support him.

He’s undoubtedly messed up by it all and being around Nicola’s family will have made him question his own family dynamics. Seeing inside other families does that.

The saddest part is that this is all being played out on the world stage, like every other part of their lives. The genie is out the bottle now.

ThirstMaker · 25/01/2026 09:47

Regardless of the poses etc, does anyone believe that VB is truly sexually attracted to her son? Of course she is not. She is probably insecure and image-conscious and poses awkwardly fullstop.

I think she always wants to look sexy, alluring etc regardless of context sometimes.

The only issue is if B disliked it so it then needs to stop.

I am no VB fan, but she doesn’t want to have a sexual relationship with her son and it’s insane to insinuate this, and hugely offensive.

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 25/01/2026 09:53

Nevermind17 · 24/01/2026 19:29

I can’t see anything inappropriate in those pictures. So she’s dressed up and looks sexy. If she was wearing jeans and a hoodie you wouldn’t give it a second thought. Are mothers not allowed to hug their sons now, or kiss them on the cheek?

I think that physical touch, affection and love are all hugely important.

But it's also rather obvious that this is a specific context of a young person being thrust into the spotlight specifically so his mum can pose at being affectionate and loving is incredibly different to a mum at home giving her teen son a friendly hug.

That’s very true. My DS would have been mortified being photographed in the same county as me when he was 16, never mind with my arms around him.

That you Victoria? Menacing me for saying out loud what we are all thinking: this family is weird and there is clearly lack of boundaries going on in all directions.

Well, I can assure you we are not all thinking the Beckham are incestuous and sexually abusive ie Victoria was having sex with Brooklyn. Really bizarre if you are?!

Don't be ridiculous. I'm not 'menacing ' you, whatever that means, but to vaguely accuse someone of incest is bordering on libel and thoroughly nasty too.

It has incestous connotations was what I referred to. And didn't her son said that she danced with him in a very inappropriate manner left him feeling humiliated ? That's def crossing boundaries.

Carry on with your wild imaginings.I certainly don't agree with them.

TheHouse · 25/01/2026 17:09

Inappropriate 100 percent. David’s the same with the daughter. They’re all totally weird and enmeshed.

HoratioBum · 25/01/2026 17:14

OP, you are going to lose your mind when you take a look at Damien and Elizabeth Hurley.

Yeah she is pretty gross OP i agree. But then I have never liked her!!

PearPlop · 25/01/2026 17:38

It was Brooklyn that said she was dancing on him inappropriately, making it sound like grinding/a lap dance. Fat Tony confirmed that VB was hugging him and BB had his hands on her hips, still very weird but not quite as gross as how it first sounded.

TheArtfulTiger · 25/01/2026 17:45

when faced with- does this seem okay particularly from behaviour from women-myself being a mother of a son- I try to flip it and think would it be okay for a guy to do this with his daughter-that's you answer

Kissing your kids (like grabbing them and planting a smacker) is not inappropriate. I do it to mine and they laugh.

Making out she's inappropriate is inappropriate, they had a close relationship, now they don't.

100% agree!
