Just turned 42, 2 kids, dancing round the kitchen listening to diddly Dee song by the cartoons with my husband telling me to grow up? WTF? Yes I’m skipping around but I’m in the comfort of my own home so why not. Music is also for my enjoyment as much as the kids

Eh husband is nearly 50’and we go clubbing all the time

my mum came clubbing with me last year danced till 4am (nearly 70)

I'm similar in age and started dancing In my teens as it was quite central to the youth cult I was part of.
Once in it ,it never leaves you.

I have a feeling he does things you internally roll your eyes at. I'd be tempted to stop keeping those thoughts inside and see how he likes it, but the more mature thing to do would be to ask him why he cares and why he thinks you should stop having doing things that you find fun. I'd also mention that it's not easy to feel attracted to boring people who rain on your parade for no good reason.

65 in just over a week, I turn the music up and sing (badly and loudly), dance round the kitchen, dance to the childrens TV programme theme tunes with the grandchildren, I'm the fun grandma apparently, my dh is the fun grandad. I'll take that. Your dh is an idiot.

I was dancing to 9AM Til I Come while making a shepherd's pie tonight. DH joined in. We're 50. Your husband sounds like a fun sponge, sorry.

We have a kitchen Alexa purely for kitchen dancing. Mostly used by my DH. He’s a Northern Soul fan and the tiled floor is perfect for sliding. We are in our 60s and are very unlikely to grow up now.

I dance with my DCs in the kitchen all the time! DH often dances with us too. 37 and 40.

When I was 60, my late husband was happy to see me dancing about the house. Your DH is a grump, @pringlessss .

Why is it weird? I'm in my 60's and still go to raves, dance my head off everywhere pretty much, my DH loves seeing me as he knows I'm in my happy place ☺️

Me and my DGS do this every day, he loves it and is so bonded with me as a result! Don’t listen to him
