It had to happen; in Minneapolis a woman in a car was shouting at the multiple ICE agents. One tried to open her car door, she started to drive away and was shot 2 (3? 4?) times in the head.

Trump is blaming her. Fucking hell.

She is there with her wife. Blocking the road. Filming. Shouting and swearing at ICE.

She had been causing issues and was repeatedly told to leave. She chose to be there. Chose to stay. Why was her wife outside of the car, filming?

Theyvarent just random people caught up.

ICE were trying to getbher to leave. She chose to stay until they attempted to arrest her, THEN she chose to try and drive off. Into an officer.

She had been there causing trouble, swearing, filming.

Of course they thought she might be capable of running them over! Have you not seen the masses of liberal protestors getting violent?

He’s stood to the side, and she is turning away from him.

And so fucking what if she was. She could protest 8 to 8 Monday to Saturday and 24 hours a day on Sunday if she wanted.

Because the constitution of the country she was a CITIZEN of says it was her right!!!

The sentence for attempting to block immigration officers is not an arbitrary public execution.

The only reason to draw a weapon as a trained law enforcement agent is to defend against an immediate threat to life. There was no immediate threat except the threat posed by ICE. The agent could have stepped back onto the pavement. No one forced him to move closer to her car.

Body cam footage might help clarify, but apparently that won’t necessarily be released - umm.
The ICE agent at the very least clearly didn’t care to follow any of his actual training/processes - do they have rules any more? It seems he’s been hit by a car before as well, so no retraining about staying away from the front/rear of vehicles moving, likely to move suddenly.
But also you really don’t just shoot someone randomly at anywhere it might hit, when they have a deadly weapon or in control of a car as it is dangerous to others, the public (and yourself). He’d have been better moving himself and taking the tyres out to effect an arrest, if she was breaking the law.
No rules followed, no care for anyone’s life - is the best spin I can find - horrifying and I actually feel faintly nauseous about all this.
I don’t know how far civil protests could go in the US - I guess it would just mean military, emergency powers, no mid terms and a 3rd term.
I do think the rest of the west need to really consider who are allies and of similar democratic views and who are really not - then again not much to be done about it I guess, same as for those in the US.
I’m happier this side of the pond - I go to protests but don’t worry I’ll get shot - it’s all so awful, and so sad for the lady, Minneapolis, the US today.

Looking at the video, she was clearly trying to drive away. The car wheel was turned. Two men rushed her, one tugging at the driver's door, the other stepped in front of her vehicle. I don't believe for a second she was using her car as a weapon. She did drive forwards when someone was in front of her, but from a standstill. She appeared to be trying to get past him. He had enough time to shoot at her through the front of the vehicle, then move around the side and shoot her through the driver's window, at which point neither he nor anyone else was in any danger of being run over.

I’m a white liberal woman and I know hundreds of other white liberal women, as far as I’m aware none of them are terrorists. What proof do you have to back up that statement?

The question is....where ia any credible opposition coming from..I dont see any Democratic party push back, no obvious leaders that a movement can get behind, no civil rights movements, no mass marches. If you think about the US in 1960s and 1970s...the alternative culture, Martin Luther King, the protests against the Virtnsm war...where has that spirit gone ?.

The video (the one where ICE are refusing to allow a dr to go to her) has someone yelling “you just killed my neighbour”. So, was there a coincidental ICE incident outside of the “professional protester’s” house? Or was she maybe there by coincidence, since she lived there.

Not that it matters, because whether or not she was a regular protester is not actually relevant in any way. If you believe she was driving the car deliberately at the ICE agent, then what does it matter if she regularly protested?

This honestly feels like a turning point for America. A protester being executed and the President and White House telling inflammatory lies about what happened. Because there's no two ways about it, what Trump is saying is false. It feels as though this is the moment America has tipped over into something like fascism.
