ICE agent shoots woman in the face.

1000 replies

Eyesopenwideawake · 07/01/2026 21:18

It had to happen; in Minneapolis a woman in a car was shouting at the multiple ICE agents. One tried to open her car door, she started to drive away and was shot 2 (3? 4?) times in the head.

Trump is blaming her. Fucking hell.

America is experiencing the rise of fascism. Trump clearly sees himself as a 'strong man' along with Putin and Xi Jinping and is planning on dividing up the world between the three of them. Won't be long before we see the stars and stripes flying over Westminster (I am only half-joking).

TheIrritatingGentleman · 08/01/2026 11:59

Just to point out, that if this woman had been successful in her attempt to run over and kill the officer in front of her car, almost every single post on here would be cheering his death.

Why are you making things up? Why would people cheer someone's death when as you can plainly see, most (decent) people are horrified someone has been mindlessly killed?

If they didn't have guns he'd have just stood out the way and taken her number plate to have her arrested. You can clearly see she was trying to get away, not kill him! If she was aiming for him then why did her vehicle continue to turn? Surely it would have continued going in his direction if that's what she was aiming for?

In fear of his life my arse.

To add to the above:

Blue circle is the second ice agent who tried to open the door falling out of the frame.

Red circle is the shooter’s foot.

Green circle is the shooter’s gun.

This isn't the shooter, the shooter only has a bandana covering the lower part of his face.
People have been using AI to try and show what his whole face looks like and work out who he is.

This isn't the shooter.

Someone I know s currently facing a manslaughter charge after accidentally killing someone (in self defence) after the person who ended up dead physically attacked them first.

the police and CPS are very much if the mind set that if at any point, even in a split second you could have walked away/walked out of danger rather than physically defend yourself that’s what you should do.

this ICE agent did not need to walk in front of the vehicle, he could have stepped further away. He chose to stand in front, he chose to draw a gun and he chose to shoot an unarmed woman in the head. And his president supports him. Which will embolden all agents to get even more gun happy. I do think in this country he’d have been charged. In the US he will probably get a medal.

In the footage shot from the right of the car, you can clearly see the office being lifted off his feet.

No. You can’t. You’re a fucking liar.

"Look at the angle of the bullet..."

I would say the same to you (but leave out the insult!)

There is a photo (credit Tim Evans/ Reuters) in the article on The Times website showing the crashed car.

It very clearly shows a bullet hole fired from the front of the car.

Okay explain this. If that was shot from the front of the vehicle it would have missed her head wouldn't it? And the drivers side window has been shot out, and that was definitely shot at from the side.

From the footage i saw on the BBC just now there did appear to be someone stood right in front of the car when she pulled forward,

I don't think she was looking to mow him down she just sped forward and he happened to be there. He leapt out of the way so didn't need to shoot - but I think if you drive as police in the US then that is what is going to happen.

They're not police.

Amazing how many people here who think that cops have an inalienable right to kill people.
She'd just dropped her child off to school, was told to move by ICE - did so and was murdered. There is video of the ICE agent who shot her walking away - but not before a whole load of them fist bumped each other.
ICE is out of control, backed by the disgusting Trump - and I hope that mass protests drive them off the streets.

Nobody is saying cops have an inalienable right to kill people. They’re saying that if you do not follow the instructions that an armed police officer is shouting at you then your risk of being shot is greatly increased, particularly in the US where it is well-known that they shoot first and ask questions later.

Police routinely stand in front of vehicles or physically intercept them. It’s not the same as a member of the public doing it. Look at PC Harper.

Words matter. Sped? She sped towards him? She sped. towards him.

Those words conjure up an entirely different image to that seen in the video.

Other angles of the same moment appear to show him leaning over her bonnet to get a better aim, which lines up with witness statements.

Taking some time off from polishing your guns and rearranging your MAGA hat collection to post on Mumsnet then?

Sure, but they leap, out the way at the last minute rather than shoot someone. The exception being if they think the motorist is armed, or a terrorist.

Frequency · 08/01/2026 12:06

Do any of the witness statements (from people actually there) support ICE's actions?

I've not seen any, but it is impossible to read all of the news articles.

All the witnesses I've seen condemn ICE's actions.

Yes. The only point that vehicle picks up speed is after she has been shot, no one is controlling the vehicle and it rolls away and crashes.

SpaceRaccoon · 08/01/2026 11:44

You are a fucking liar. And complicit in all this. She was pulling out of her own driveway. She slowed to ask if everything was ok. The agent told her to move her car. When she did they shot her in the face. They aren’t armed police, they are nazis.

My understanding is that she'd come from Missouri to join the protest.

They had just moved to Minneapolis. Returned home after dropping off her 6 year old at school and saw ICE harrassing their new neighbours and started filming it.

All legal

ICE prevented a doctor attending to her

Gloriia · 08/01/2026 09:52

She was driving a vehicle towards an armed officer!
Shooting tyres does not stop anything immediately they swerve and cause more damage.

Wtf was she doing shouting ice are coming? Did she think that was going to help?

Cause more damage? More damage than shooting somebody right in the face?

Abhannmor · 08/01/2026 12:07

After some school shooting a few years ago a friend of mine summed up the USA in a few words : ' It's an open air asylum '

As far as I am concerned no amount of political analysis or commentary can improve upon that bleak verdict.

Why are there so many US posters on this site? It never used to be like this.

A fair few posters on the RN Good threads NC'd or just joined last night.

I think a load of right wing Americans - ironically enough - ended up here through the 'feminism'/gender-critical pages too.

I watched it with the sound down - so I could see what was there and not be infuluence by being told what I was supposed to see.

I do see an agent in one clip in the way of car and push against it and jump back. He may have been trying to stop her moving - but I still don't see a dramatic lifted off feet justifying shooting a USA citizen - a see poorly trained state employees badly handling and escalating a previously managable situation.

But this is the USA where prosecution immunity exists for many in law enforcement they often have very little training buit have to face an armed population and there are many outragous examples of dire policing across the country visible on-line.

Maybe that is enough to justify shooting a citizen in the face in the US and the world is watching that level of incompetent and corruption being justified.
