ICE agent shoots woman in the face.

It had to happen; in Minneapolis a woman in a car was shouting at the multiple ICE agents. One tried to open her car door, she started to drive away and was shot 2 (3? 4?) times in the head.

Trump is blaming her. Fucking hell.

That is not what happened.

It’s difficult to say what happened from the angle of the video and a lack of facts about the run up to it.

Ultimately I think they could’ve stopped her without lethal force.

The USA is totally different to here though & law and order is more extreme to meet the more extreme threat of crime and violence they face.

People fail to respond to police requests for compliance all the time. There are tactics and laws to deal with with this.

The only situation in which it acceptable to kill someone is if there is an immediate and real threat to the life of you or someone else. That was not the case here. She was manoeuvring her vehicle at slow speed to exit the location. She was trying to get away from them and they executed her for it.

No amount of MAGA gaslighting is going to change the fact that he murdered her.

A bullet hole is round. You cant' tell where it came from using a photo like this.

What I did hear on the vid was 3 shots fired. People here say she was hit 3 times in the head. I also see in the photo no side window.

So based on that photo, I would say first shot from front side, just forward of the wing mirror, next 2 shots through the side window. And given how rapid the shots are, the ice agent either took a step or two from the front to back as he was firing, or the car was going forward.

That's all I can see. One bullet hole, no side window, but 3 shots fired.

If the agent fired his 3 shots from the front, why is there not 3 bullet holes.

The car was driving slowly enough that he had time to choose to unholster his gun and take aim before being hit by her, but not slow enough that he had time to decide to step back out of the way and note her license plate?

That makes perfect sense.

This woman was murdered by ICE. There is no debate to be had by anyone with eyes and a brain.

You are a fucking liar. And complicit in all this. She was pulling out of her own driveway. She slowed to ask if everything was ok. The agent told her to move her car. When she did they shot her in the face. They aren’t armed police, they are nazis.

My understanding is that she'd come from Missouri to join the protest.

Red circle is the shooter’s foot.

Derek Chauvin did “nothing wrong”?

Chauvin knelt on George Floyd’s neck and upper back for more than nine minutes, even after Floyd was handcuffed, lying face-down, and no longer resisting. Floyd repeatedly said he couldn’t breathe, became unresponsive, and eventually had no pulse. Chauvin did not adjust his position or provide aid.

You think that all of that is him “just doing his job” and none of it meets the threshold of a crime?

It's good this was caught on camera - as the amount of outright lies about the footage so many of us can clearly see is bizzare.

This was very poor policing/state employee control of a situation that resulted in a US citizen being shot when that could and should have never happened.

I stopped watching many on the left in US after Charlie Kirk murder as poltican assassination is never okay and the amount of justifcation of it was awful and many dropped like stones in my estimation. It's a far cry from :I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Both side think they can just shout down dissenting voices - and round the world people watch and judge - the entire poltical class ie both sides in US just looks more morally bankrupt evey day.

She lifted the agent clean off his feet by driving at him, personally I would regard this as a threat to my life, and I suspect in time a jury will as well.

It's tragic, but she made the wrong call not to comply, same as countless other people do.

It doesn’t matter if she was protesting.
It doesn’t matter if she didn’t get out of the vehicle when she was asked.
It doesn’t matter if she bumped his leg slightly as she manoevered her vehicle.
It doesn’t matter if she obstructing ICE from doing their jobs.

He should not have shot her.

She didn't travel interstate for a publicity stunt. She lived in the area she was killed.

I think the car had Missouri plates so made that assumption but apparently she was living in Minneapolis with her partner

Any loss of innocent life is terrible.

Watching the footage, the agent tried to open the car door - the poor lady sought to avoid that and attempted to drive off. That proved to be a fatal mistake.

From the footage i saw on the BBC just now there did appear to be someone stood right in front of the car when she pulled forward,

I don't think she was looking to mow him down she just sped forward and he happened to be there. He leapt out of the way so didn't need to shoot - but I think if you drive as police in the US then that is what is going to happen.

Amazing how many people here who think that cops have an inalienable right to kill people.
She'd just dropped her child off to school, was told to move by ICE - did so and was murdered. There is video of the ICE agent who shot her walking away - but not before a whole load of them fist bumped each other.
ICE is out of control, backed by the disgusting Trump - and I hope that mass protests drive them off the streets.
