The behaviour on MN is becoming as bitchy and pathetic as Tattle etc.

She is the daughter of that foul mouthed chef who - with her drippy husband - have banned her future mother-in-law from their wedding. The mother who spent years driving her son to and from swimming practices so he could be a success. So, no, not a criminal but not very likable.

He maybe a foul mouthed chef - but that is all for tv. Honestly, he is such a lovely guy and very sincere.

Our son (28) passed away on the 29th June from a Glioblastoma. When he was first diagnosed June 2022 and after his first craniotomy and treatment, DS started to watch an episode of Hell's Kitchen every evening. He worked his way through all of the series. I wrote to Gordon's PA to ask when the next series would be out. I didn't hear anything for a while and wasn't even sure if my email had arrived or if it had even got to the correct person.

Anyway...after about two months I received a reply apologising for the delay but also saying it's difficult to pin Gordon down. Attached to the email was a lovely personal video to DS from Gordon, he also invited us and DS's friends over to Connecticut for the filming of the up and coming season which was June 2024. We kept in touch as the visit to the states was dependent on DS's scan which was due in the April (this was about the November 2023), unfortunately the scan showed new growth and DS was literally in for another craniotomy within the week. He was unable to fly for so many weeks after and we sadly couldn't fly to the states.

Last December 2024, we were guests at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and also Lucky Cat/Bar and Grill over two evenings. DS's friends came with us. We were treat like kings and queens. They could honestly not do enough for us.

Am not sure why I have told you all of the above...you certainly didn't need to know it all, but I think the moral of the story is don't judge...😊

With regards to the groom and his mother - we only have one side of the story (hers)...

hollytheheroic · 27/12/2025 15:44

I suppose he doesn't have a load of cash to compete with the Ramsays so maybe that's why
they've done a magazine deal.

AutumnLover1989 · 27/12/2025 15:44

Magazine deal obviously. How crass. She looks like a traitor so quite apt 😬🙄

Dollymylove · 27/12/2025 15:45

Seriously, nobody gives a shit 🤣

Apparently he’s loaded.

@BellaVita , I'm sorry for your loss 💐.
That's a very touching story.
I'm glad that your son found enjoyment from the series, and that Gordon Ramsay was so happy to help.
You're quite right, there's always more than one side to every story, and it's very easy to judge.

Apparently he’s loaded.

I don’t see how it’s possible. Swimmers are paid next to nothing. He’ll have got sponsorship deals at the level he competed at but with a career over before 30 what will he do for the next 60 years for income? I have no doubt he’s comfortable but not what I would see as loaded

hollytheheroic · 27/12/2025 15:47

PodMom · 27/12/2025 15:45

Apparently he’s loaded.

Is he? I imagined he maybe had a few million through sponsorship etc but can't imagine it would compete with the wealth he's marrying into.

HelenaWilson · 27/12/2025 15:49

To be honest, I'm more puzzled as to why the men are in black tie, when it's a daytime ceremony..... both incorrect, and tacky.

I thought those two behind the bride in the photo above looked like a couple of minders.

And yes I think there could have been a more stylish way of concealing the dress. A long coat with a bit of swish, or a more styled and fitted cape or cloak.

edited to say: I didn’t mean to quote your whole post, but I can’t now change it

That’s a lovely thing to have done for your son. I’m sorry for his health troubles. I agree people shouldn’t be so sure about someone they do not know personally.

Do you know how? I don't suppose there's much money in being a swimmer and presumably expensive with all the travelling

Coffeeishot · 27/12/2025 15:55

PodMom · 27/12/2025 15:42

Matched her shiny face…..which I know is the trend now. I’m old, we used to want to be matte, use face blotting paper, etc. now everyone wants to be glowing, aka shiny! 😀

Nothing to do with Holly Ramsey specifically but I honestly don't understand the shiny faces how do the get the effect ? One of my sisters is much younger than me and her face is looks oily ! We were all about the matte face you are right.

Why do the Beckham kids always look like they need a good wash and a clue?

Tana looks gorgeous 💞

I agree with a PP, she looks really washed out, and her dress is ill fitting. I also think the bridesmaids dresses are poorly fitted. Posh's dress is a nice colour but its very very severe. Adam looks well turned out but Gordon looks a bit of a mess.

It looks like a scrum, very unedifying.

To be fair I often think the same about David. I think it's the tattoos. I have a tattoo myself so I'm not averse to them, but they do look make you look a bit grubby.

I wasn't looking closely and just presumed it was some kind of cape to keep warm in December.

It is!

I agree with this, they really look like they need a good scrub. And Harper looks so old fashioned in her gown.

Everyone looks miserable, like they would rather be on the sofa watching TV than at this wedding.

Bones101 · 27/12/2025 16:01

Her dad's famous. She's not. Absolutely ridiculous carry on you're not princess Kate.

hollytheheroic · 27/12/2025 16:01

And the boys need to shave off the bum fluff. I think they're all actually really good looking underneath!

Marinade · 27/12/2025 16:02

Nothing says 'fabulous, exclusive winter wedding' more than a pic of the Bath bus behind the bride 😄
