But who fucking cares. It’s just another thing to be a snippy dick about.

Presumably you as you’ve commented? Or was that just to tell others what they should think and say?

WimbyAce · 28/12/2025 11:13

I am always a bit on the fence about Adam Peaty . Supported him in his swimming of course but in some interviews he hasn't come across great. Also his behaviour with his ex is a bit murky. Will see how this new relationship plays out.

do like the bridesmaids dresses though, lovely colour and cut. Think the Christmas colour scheme is fun (Tanya and V Beckham in Christmas green. Might look a little over coordinated in pics though. Victoria’s dress not one of her best )

I thought the same, love Victoria Beckham normally but this just sits wrong and doesn't look good at all.

Holly has had some well publicised mental health issues, including as an in patient so I am assuming all the people who love her are just happy to see her happy.

Oh bless her. Hopefully they have a wonderful joyous future together.

I've heard GR is very nice outside tv too. Although it's hard to imagine, tbh!

Boododedoop · 28/12/2025 11:17

Chefpig · 28/12/2025 11:05

I've heard that Gordon is actually incredibly nice and charitable outside of his tv persona.

On the series he did with Gino and Fred he certainly did come across as having more about him than his language and shouting would suggest. There was a softness to him and he seemed quite a decent chap.

I've worked with him and he's lovely. He's also incredibly successful through enormous skill, talent and hard work.

Nothing to do with Holly Ramsey specifically but I honestly don't understand the shiny faces how do the get the effect ? One of my sisters is much younger than me and her face is looks oily ! We were all about the matte face you are right.

I’m 48. I look much younger (10 years I would say) with a shinier face than a matte one even though I was full on matt back in the day. Shiny generally means your actual skin is on show whereas matt is much more caked on imo. Lots of hatred here for the Ramsey’s and Beckhams. I don’t get it - why do you care?

Thats mean its winter she has a cape on , its winter and very cold.

Parsleyforme · 28/12/2025 11:26

I haven’t seen any further pictures than those on this thread but it looks really weird that she’s getting out the car at a bus stop on a busy road. I assume the venue was nice and not a high street registry office as it looks?

Bruisername · 28/12/2025 11:27

Holly Ramsay has decided she wants to use her fame adjacency to give her a career in the public eye. As an influencer she needs to be talked about so she probably couldn’t care less if it’s good or bad. I can’t imagine she’s scrolling through Mumsnet 🙄

the Ramsays never pushed their kids into the limelight (xref beckhams) and the kids who have chosen to stay out of the public eye are off limits (and also harper beckham who is too young to be pushed like this imo)

if you want to be a celebrity it is inevitable you will get criticism or people commenting on the photos - especially the ones you yourself share

That is lovely to hear.

I saw him cooking with his daughter, Tilly, when she was much younger and his softness and care for her was lovely. He seems like a thoroughly decent chap.

My friend ended up dpending a night in a casino with him and another chef. she really didnt know who he was and didnt know his reputation. She said he was lovely

I wasn't talking about Holly specifically and I waa asking a question about shiny faces, and how it was achieved. My sister still looks her age despite her shiny face she definitely doesn't look 10 years younger.

Screamingabdabz · 28/12/2025 11:32

I like the Ramsey family from what I’ve seen on TV - Gordon and Tana have certainly raised their kids to be personable and down to earth. Jack particularly so from the programme I saw him do on homelessness.

I do feel sorry for the Adam Peaty’s family though. This will put a huge wound that will never properly heal.

The Beckham dresses are horrid though. Apart from the one Victoria is wearing herself which is still an odd choice for a daytime church wedding. Tana’s is an ugly colour that absolutely drains her and the bridesmaids’ dresses are so unflattering - I feel sorry for the young women having to wear them - overbright ugly tomato red and high necklines. As per usual Harper dressed inappropriately - all in black - and as usual is having to clutch most of the fabric as she walks. If she’s forced to wear older womenswear, why doesn’t her mother - the world famous dress designer - get someone to hem her daughter’s dresses at the right length so she can walk in them? Mystery!

ThePoshUns · 28/12/2025 11:32

BDenergy · 28/12/2025 10:24

What an absolute bunch of twats on this thread sniping and bitching about a couple trying to navigate a really challenging situation.

No-one knows what Peaty’s childhood was like or what actually caused the rift. If it really was over the mum not being invited to the hen then it’s ridiculous. But it probably isn’t just that.

What crimes didn’t the couple manage to commit on their wedding day?

Covering the dress up.

Getting married in church (he’s apparently a Christian).

The bridesmaids wearing the wrong dresses (designed by Beckham).

Tana’s dress is too dreary and not festive enough although red makes you look like a handmaid even though it’s about as fucking festive as you can get!

Ok maybe Holly Ramsay is a bit up herself, who knows. But she’s a young woman surrounded by fame and money. She’s marrying a guy who’s had a lot of his own difficulties and her family have embraced him.
Give them a fucking break.

Who called the thread police?

iCod · 28/12/2025 11:33

I don't think it matters whether they're nice or not- the dress looks odd

Teenytwo · 28/12/2025 11:35

What a nasty thread! The faux confusion at why she’s covered up…. It will be an exclusivity deal, but acting surprised at why she’s got this seems contradictory when clearly you are interested and you do want to see.
The comments about not inviting his Mum, why are we blaming the woman? Is he some poor bullied man and he’s being dragged down the aisle and told his mum can’t come? Or maybe things have gone on behind the scenes that have led to this and he is in agreement. We see enough threads on here of people being told to go no contact, why should they put up with things they don’t want to?
The bitchiness about what people are wearing. It is their wedding, if they want people in suits then that is their business. Nasty comments about how people look in their outfits are unnecessary, they have attended a happy event yet will wake up today with loads of comments tearing them down from other women. Does pulling someone down boost you up?

Why are they doing the hello thingy???

Surely her dad's got enough money?

As a 25 year old woman maybe she wants to make her own money rather than being subsided by her parents

xSideshowAuntSallyXx · 28/12/2025 10:51

You know exactly why Adam Peaty is well known. He is one of Great Britains best Olympic swimmers. He's not just a swimmer like Bob from the local lido.

Do you say the same about Jess Ennis-Hill or Paula Radcliffe? Are they just a runner?

No because I know who both of them are.
I'd never heard of him until it's been raked up by the gutter press and he's marrying a fame hungry nepo baby

I'm not familiar with Bath but I don't suppose she could move the Abbey so the parking was a bit more convenient 😂

That says more about your lack of interest in sport than anything negative about him. He's a hugely talented Olympian, suggesting he's been raked up by the gutter press is ridiculous

Purplebunnie · 28/12/2025 11:50

One could conclude from the nasty comments on this thread that a lot of people didn't enjoy their Christmas and didn't get what they wanted from Santa.

Lucky people to have been able to get married in Bath Abby I hope they and all their guests had a wonderful day

LuciaMi · 28/12/2025 11:51

I was a competitive swimmer as a teenager and my parents drove me all over the country and spent a lot of money on it. To the outside world they would seem to be supporting loving parents who made huge sacrifices for me. They present themselves as such to this day.

However there was also a huge amount of toxicity and neglect in my childhood. Only as an adult have I realised how damaging my childhood was.

Not saying this is the case for the Peaty family, but the ‘we sacrificed so much for kids’ narrative doesn’t give a full picture by a long way necessarily.

She's got a magazine deal. That's why the dress was covered
