LTB

mumofoneAloneandwell · 12/12/2025 17:56

Time to get your affairs in order babe xx

LivingDeadGirlUK · 12/12/2025 17:57

LivingDeadGirlUK · 12/12/2025 17:56

LTB

Not to be confused with BLT, which would be sub par anyway with your crap bacon.

BecauseofyouIlearntnottotrust · 12/12/2025 17:58

Does he have any redeeming features?

TheChosenTwo · 12/12/2025 17:58

Absolute monster. I’ll fetch the spade.

BeforeSigourneyWeaverTheyWoveTheirOwnSigourneys · 12/12/2025 17:59

I often think LTB is thrown around too much on here, but in this case it's definitely warranted.

JustAboutMuddlingThrough · 12/12/2025 18:00

I’ll provide the alibi

ohfourfoxache · 12/12/2025 18:00

@LivingDeadGirlUK you win the internet today 🤣

'He's going under the patio'

Why do I keep reading this on MN?

Do you realise it derives from the real life murders of multiple women by a sadistic and prolific paedophile?

Is it funny to joke about the abuse and murder of women and children now? Or even 'play threaten' to kill our partners for minor inconveniences?

I'm fully prepared to be told to lighten up or its just a joke but I bet if there were likes to a predominantly male chat forum 'joking'about throttling their wives or murdering them for not making dinner etc, there would be uproar.

Sadly the only answer you will get to this is "lighten up" or "there's always one"

No it doesn't. It comes from the soap opera Brookside.

Have you ever been on the internet, men frequently threaten women, and mean it.

And it came from Brookside.

I'm fully prepared to be 'that person'.
The murders commited by Fred West were absolutely horrific and the abuse he carried out on multiple women including children. I just do not think its funny or lighthearted in any way, shape or form and can't imagine joking about killing and burying my partner!

But it’s not about Fred West. It is a reference to the TV soap Brookside.

Gallivant · 12/12/2025 18:12

Eh? It's Trevor Jordache under the patio and he totally had it coming.

PinguWoe · 12/12/2025 18:20

There are 5 adults in my household right now (visiting)

I just asked them what does 'going under the patio' means.

Ages range from 18 to 52.

All said the Fred West murders.

I didn't know about Brookside either.

Oh well, clearly the 5 adults in your house know better than anyone else then.

Bit rude to be sitting on MN getting pissed off at a saying made famous by a soap opera in the 90s rather than entertaining your visitors though.

Why would you think mumsnet would reference the Fred west murders when talking about husbands? It’s ok to ask if you are not sure.

Good.

Lighten up.

It's just a joke.

BCBird · 12/12/2025 19:03

My first thought is Brookside too.
