To be annoyed with Kylie Minogue?

She’s on the One Show. My son looked up her age as he didn’t believe she could be pushing 60. She looks 30. What the heck?

A bit shorter? Isn't she 4ft 11? I met her back in the 90s in the VIP section at Cream. At 5ft 4 and 7 stone I felt like a giant beside her. She was absolutely tiny, about the size of a 7 year old child.

Or some people don’t ha e a sense of humour.

Had good tickets - seen Kylie, up close, in Glasgow - start of the "Showgirl Tour". This was at the time of her breast cancer being discovered.
Absolutely fantastic show!. Great performer. She looked like a beautiful, perfect China doll.

I aged about 10 years when my daughter when through a rebellious stage between 15-18. I barely slept and comfort ate. Kylies never had that anguish. Although she may have wished for children we will never know. She may have swapped places with many of us. I still love her as I’ve grew up through all stages of my life with he ( she’s a tiny bit older than me) I wish I had a tiny bit of her money too! It would help.

I don't agree about JA. Have you seen her face in Morning Wars? She could barely move her mouth - it looked like it was frozen. I actually found it really distracting.

Her face is part of her brand, it provides a living for herself and an outlet for her talents and for many others as well. It is also, for her, WORK.
and work she does and he works far harder than I ever could.

Same. I always thought she was lovely and have never heard her say anything bad about anyone. The friends thing maybe because she grew up working and traveling and has a close family to rely on. Not all women nest besties.
Went to a concert in Melbourne and she came across as so sweet. It was a small concert in a park, not one of her stadium ones. Think it was in 2018.

Agree. She looks a few years younger than she is but not by much. Definitely not decades younger and it is very obvious she has had work done. It is done well, but it still does not look completely natural.

I think she just chooses songs that match her voice well.

She doesn't look 30, she looks great for her age but if you see her up close she has age appropriate lines and skin texture. I'm 48 and if my skin was like hers is now I'd be gutted, at 30 I'd have been devastated.

As Dolly Parton says, you owe it to your fans to look good, they pay good money to see you at a concert. Men don't seem to have the same pressure though. But I suppose some of the pin up types get work too.

I saw her on the One Show and I just thought she looks like an older woman who has had work done on her face. Slim, beautiful and glamorous it's her job, I can understand it. Although the cost of the work would be several holidays of a lifetime, coming up to 60 we are all entitled to have lines on our face, but if someone has the money I wouldn't judge

Sure most of people have a sense of humour, but you have to realise it's a joke first, but will admit it's difficult to detect tone on the internet.

I think sound technology has come a long way too. Apparently they can make a singer out of anyone these days.

I'm sure its been mentioned but something I've noticed is that all these famous women who look great for their age don't have kids -Kylie, Helen Mirren, Kim Cattrell, Debbie Harry, Stevie nicks to name a few. Oh well, it's too late for me now lol

It's not really to do with money. Lots of other famous people have the same money but have not aged like Kylie.

She clearly leads a very disciplined life, she maintains her weight, she eats healthily, she works out, she styles herself well, she probably doesn't drink, smoke or do drugs, she probably takes care of her skin, she likely has some subtle facial procedures like botox done.

Most of us could manage this if we had the motivation. Not expensive to eat vegetables. Nobody goes to the supermarket and chooses between processed junk and fresh food based on cost.

It's no guarantee of youthfulness. I'm childfree in my 50s and if anything I look old for my age. 30 years of working in stressful jobs has left me haggard.
