Had so much exposure on TV? He’s really really unfunny, he’s a crap stilted presenter and just makes everything awkward.

Nonsense, he's a presenter, he doesn't need to know about it, that's what the experts are there for. He's there to bring the information across to the viewers. That's a harder job than you give it credit for. He's probably taken in a bit of archaeology after all those episodes of Time Team anyway.

I find him funny, we went to see him live last year and he was brilliant we laughed for the full show. I do think he's better as a comedian than a presenter, his show with Rob Beckett is absolutely hilarious.

I like him, he reminds me of Jack Dee, but I get it's not for everyone. Personally I think there's far worse 'comendians' from that generation of talent though, like Josh Widdicombe, Joel Dommett, and, possibly worse of all, Nish Kumar.

Yes! Actually I think you’ve inadvertently made me realise why I have quite an aversion to him. I don’t find him funny sure, but he also looks really dirty and grubby and like he needs a good wash!

What I dont buy is that he is doing it as an act when the situation is not a comedic one. As a PP said he is obnoxiously superior about his veganism and it shows it all of his media interactions.

I did notice yesterday that Romesh is on both BBC and ITV Saturday prime time with only half a hour between the two shows

This seemed strange and a bit overkill to me.

Him and Rob beckett are so funny together!

I find both of them funny individually as well but I have to concede they do get a lot of airtime.
Which i suppose feels like overkill if you don't find them funny

I think he's funny, and he's certainly far funnier than many people on tv because they're supposedly amusing (eg Michael Macintyre, Jimmy Carr).

Maybe his humour just isn't your cup of tea, OP.

I like him on the radio where he seems to be presenting as himself, rather than acting out a persona. Can’t stand looking at him on TV. If some TV trendies offered you work, I bet 99.9% of you would take the money offered whilst the going was good.

I think the scruffy look comes in with middle aged men that still dress like they are a teenager (but with money). He has got a great head of hair, I’d like to see him on Queer Eye, I’m sure he would say yes to another opportunity to get on TV.

I used to find him funny - I say used to because I don’t tend to watch anything he is in anymore ,I think he just became too over exposed - was on everything and I got bored of seeing him.

No they rarely do that anymore. And Romesh is on many different networks. So that doesn't work with your argument.

Did anyone see him in Avoidance - a BBC comedy drama (2 series available on iPlayer)? That was a great piece of TV - funny and poignant.
