Mumsnet censorship

anonymouselephantx · 11/09/2025 11:38

Mumsnet has been deleting any comment at all that criticises Charlie Kirk... just because he has died does not mean he is infallible. He is still an evil person who did and said evil things, contributed to so much suffering of families at the hands of ICE etc., mocked the Palestinians undergoing a genocide? Mumsnet, disturbing much? I had to get MN by email to delete a thread of mine as I was getting bullied and people were making personal attacks against me (the talk guidelines say personal attacks will be deleted, yet I had to BEG for this), but they are censoring anything anyone says about Charlie Kirk? Why are we not allowed to have freedom of speech and freedom to debate, especially when it is someone who did and said SO MUCH EVIL!

Lots of people have seen them, and found them persuasive. That's why someone wanted him silenced.

We have no idea why he was killed.

Underthinker · 13/09/2025 07:29

R3838ech · 13/09/2025 07:22

Do they? Have you not seen the many videos of him interviewed? Look at the quotes below from his own show- that is racism pure and simple.

Edited

Yes they do.

Take the stoning gays example. It's false.

Yesterday on another thread I researched someone claims repeated by several posters that Kirk said something like "black women lack brain processing power", and upon watching the source, he hadn't, he said a particular women who was black and who he disagreed with lacked brain processing power.

Now imagine someone whose politics you admire is killed. They are a controversial figure, but amongst the things they actually said, lots of false and exaggerated statements are created and endlessly repeated about them to smear them. What would you think about the people who did that?

So we’re supposed to ignore the racist direct quotes from his own shows?

VisitationRights · 13/09/2025 07:34

Your type of rhetoric is what led to his assassination. Calling someone evil for holding different opinions to you does not lead to discourse, exchange of ideas, and finding common ground.

Murdering someone for talking is the facist and evil act.

No. You're supposed to not make up or repeat lies about a recently murdered man.

But posters can very much be disgusted by his racist propaganda and views re gun control that he proudly and frequently verbalised.

Posters can be disgusted about whatever they like.

But if there were sufficient evidence of real racist views and statements that were enough to disgust the average reader, his critics probably wouldn't have needed to concoct the many false ones.

Edit : Knowing you have spread lies about him, do you not feel the smallest pang of guilt?

So we’re ignoring direct quotes then? It’s all fake news.

lkjhgfdsa · 13/09/2025 07:49

As for him being a Christian, did he live by these values?

Exodus 22:21
Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt.

Leviticus 19:34
The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

Leviticus 25:35
If any of your fellow Israelites become poor and are unable to support themselves among you, help them as you would a foreigner and stranger, so they can continue to live among you.

Deuteronomy 10:18
He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.

Matthew 25:36-36
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

1 Peter 4:8-9
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.

I certainly haven’t. I’m referring to direct quotes as reported by The Guardian.

There is enough in that to be appalled by let alone anything else.

No we're ignoring the lies. You repeated lies about him. Not exactly sure why you haven't apologised yet.

Edit: And I'm not ignoring anything, I'm happy to discuss anything he actually said if you apologise for repeating things he didnt say in order to smear him.

I completely apologise. I thought I was arguing with a single person from this morning. You are mot the person who claimed he advocated stoning gays. What an arse I am.

Serpentstooth · 13/09/2025 08:02

Where is this trans, Democrat, sharpshooting, antifa, immigrant-loving murderer? Oh! There isn't one. Quite the reverse, just a school-shooter raised as MAGA in a MAGA family with the warped family and 'Christian' values they propound. Now they've gor a problem. Which one are they going to venerate? No doubt they'll be able to accommodate both in their twisted minds.

Gloriia · 13/09/2025 08:02

Lovely peaceful vigil for him in London last night. No rioting, no looting.
Hate filled toxic people take note.

If we would have said that Joy Reid and Michelle Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative action picks, we would have been called racists. Now they’re coming out and they’re saying it for us … You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously.

Joy Reid: graduated from Harvard where she paid her own bills and tuition.

Michelle Obama: ...follow her brother to Princeton University... ...graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in 1985... ...earning her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Harvard Law School in 1988.

Sheila Jackson Lee: ...earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Yale University in 1972 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1975.

Ketanji Brown Jackson: ...distinguished herself as a champion debater, winning the national oratory title at the National Catholic Forensic League championships in New Orleans during her senior year... ...
graduated from Harvard in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude... ...graduating in 1996 with a Juris Doctor, cum laude.

Chatlie Kirk: ...attended Harper College near Chicago, but dropped out before completing a degree or certificate.

Wonder if they’ll offer to spare the death penalty if he says he was radicalised by the liberal
left. Trump can do what he likes.

I have read so much on here over the last couple of days about the dangerous radical ‘left’ who are more violent then the right and it was they who killed this man. They look a bit silly now.

But he didnt say black women lack brain processing power, he didn't even say those 4 women lack brain processing power, he said a specific woman, who if you watch the clip of the show is edited in midway through that text, and speaks about affirmative action lacks brain processing power.

It's not nice, but it's a long way from the claim that was made on here that I was refuting.

Serpentstooth · 13/09/2025 08:25

Exasperating. Why don't you make a thread in praise of Charlie? Then you can all admire one another without having to upset yourselves with strenuous argument so early in the day.

Just because he was brought up in republican household doesn't mean he adhered to the same beliefs. Kids tend to think for themselves and have their own identities, often going against their parents beliefs. This is not new news.

He had engraved 'fascist' on a cartridge so I think it is safe to presume he wasn't a maga loving Trump supporter.

No one is 'praising' him just saying he promoted free speech and that is a good thing. Many of the criticisms cited have been taken out of context. Yes some stuff he said was wrong and many would disagree with him and that is fine.
