It's not that hot. Looks sloppy

I wouldn't do it! But I also don't think it'd bother me enough to make an AIBU. 🤷🏻‍♀️

hellonuranus · 29/08/2025 11:29

Fair comment. I'm pretty bored. At softplay 🤯

Soft play = one of the circles of hell

It'll be over soon

vodkaredbullgirl · 29/08/2025 11:45

And?

hellonuranus · 29/08/2025 11:46

"Sloppy"? 🤣 They're young children running around like lunatics getting hot as hell. They're not there to have their sartorial elegance admired!

vodkaredbullgirl · 29/08/2025 11:47

They running around they get hot

hellonuranus · 29/08/2025 11:47

My kids are coping fully clothed

MidnightPatrol · 29/08/2025 11:47

I wouldn’t let my own do it (probably) but wouldn’t be bothered by seeing it.

They can get very hot!

UnimatrixZeroOne · 29/08/2025 11:49

hellonuranus · 29/08/2025 11:47

My kids are coping fully clothed

I expect that's because you're all just fundamentally better people.

hellonuranus · 29/08/2025 11:47

My kids are coping fully clothed

Do you think that makes them superior to other kids?

You're one of those judgey wanky mum's.

BauhausOfEliott · 29/08/2025 12:08

Who on earth could honestly be bothered to give a shit what someone else's child does or doesn't wear at soft play? Jeez. They're just little kids. It doesn't matter.

Are they in full length trousers too ? .If not I cant see how their bare legs are superior to another childs chest .
If your kids are fully encased in clothing I expect they are coping( and boiling )as they have no option , and an overclenched parent .

EmeraldShamrock000 · 29/08/2025 12:13

Never seen it, ever at a soft play.
The slides stick to your naked skin.

Lucy5678 · 29/08/2025 12:14

I wouldn’t allow it and the play centre my kids go to doesn’t allow it because of risk of friction burns on the slides. But if they aren’t harming anyone else then it’s really up to their parents to decide what their standards are.

Long trousers and socks, it's the rules here

Dairymilkisminging · 29/08/2025 12:29

I'd worry about friction burns

Weekmindedfool · 29/08/2025 12:45

Agreed. Lack of proper parenting again. Letting the kids do what they want rather than enforcing rules.

AmyDuPlantier · 29/08/2025 12:47

Ah yes, and we all know that looking sloppy at soft play is a truly terrible thing.

Read a book or something woman 😂

Rainallnight · 29/08/2025 12:49

It’s probably my kid

HerecomesMargo · 29/08/2025 12:55

Grim. I would complain. I mean how sloppy are people becoming now? This isn’t a zoo.

Moonnstars · 29/08/2025 12:56

I wouldn't think it's an issue because of sloppiness but more safety on the slides and also hygiene if they are that hot and sweaty.

saveforthat · 29/08/2025 12:57

It's not practical is it? Sweaty bodies, plastic cubes etc.

LoveWine123 · 29/08/2025 12:59

Try harder. Boring thread
