To ask for your tiny tragedies

Was looking forward to having some strawberries with some nice thick greek yoghurt I had in the fridge and it turns out I just bought boring natural yoghurt by mistake 😭

Have you tried any of the following (I'm not a florist!)

• place the stems in hot water
• squeeze the buds gently to pop them a bit
• leave them in full sun in the window or at least as warm a spot as you can

I am staying in a hotel in Dorset tonight and the WiFi is rubbish - will let me do a few things (like Mumsnet), won't let me watch any videos or load FB comments or load most apps. Frustrating. Will have to read ebook instead!

I’m very upset at the wrong fruit-&-meringue combo.

I ordered my youngest some headphones on amazon to arrive in time for our holiday, so we didn't have to listen to his switch game sounds on the 4 hour drive

I'd forgotten to change the delivery address back to ours instead of my mums (who lives a few hours away) and didn't realise until they were out for delivery, so we had niggly annoying game sounds/youtube videos as background noise most of the way here

We are going to see mum before we go home so we will have them for the drive back at least

I got suncream out of 5 white tshirts after our holiday!

I washed them as normal
I then noticed that the suncream was sort of in a layer over the fabric. So I scrubbed with bar soap and a nail brush.
Then I put the suncream parts in a dilute bleach solution
This turned the suncream parts pink which was alarming!
But the pink washed out on a normal 40 degree wash with bio detergent
There was a bit of pink left on one collar but after another wash it had gone
All of the white t shirts look like new now!

I had the chance to cook a nice dinner just for myself (not the ravening hordes who generally insist on haunting my abode for some reason), only it was too late to cook and I couldn't think what I wanted anyway, so I just had some toast and a banana.

I can only drink Yorkshire tea

All other teabags make my mouth go strange

My dream house has been sold to someone else. It is the perfect size, location, age, decor and set in a beautiful garden by the sea.
Okay, the price is beyond my lifetime’s earnings and I have no intention of moving but I am still affronted that the sellers didn’t keep it on the market just in case I won the lottery.

NB I don’t play the lottery. I do however have a rightmove addiction.

Totally understand - I go on Rightmove at least once a week to look at properties I have no current chance of purchasing.

Re knickers on hol - on a beach/pool type hol when you're in and out of swimwear and often get changed to go out in the evening you can easily get through 3 pants a day without spoiling yourself so reasonable to pack ridiculous amounts.

My other tiny tragedy/major cringe is that I have a big bday coming up and I'm throwing myself a party (terribly self-indulgent I know). Have invited all the people I properly know and love via WhatsApp but invited whom I thought were friends from a hobby via a Facebook event as FB is how we tend to keep in touch and out of quite a large group only 2 are coming. It's not so much that I think they should all come to my party (they might be busy/it's not their thing etc) but it's just that hardly anyone has actually declined. It's just hanging there showing everyone how unpopular/embarrassing/cringe I am 😭

This is how I felt about my puppy. I wasn’t going to buy him but he should have been kept available just in case the universe magically aligned. Or at the very least so I could keep looking at his picture and imagine bringing him home.

My boiler lost connection with my WiFi and the heating came on so now it’s 24C in my bedroom which is about 10C warmer than I like it.

My DH threw away my sleeping tablets by accident. Staying away from home and can never sleep on the first night… he’s been in bed 5mins and is already asleep, I’m going to be awake for hours 😭

Back from holiday, washes already done/in, its our wedding anniversary and just found out our favourite Chinese takeaway is, unexpectedly, shut!

I was planning leaving work an hour early today, because I feel like I deserved it, but my boss invited me to a last minute meeting during that time.

Went to Aldi for cappuccino sachets that we like, but shelf was empty and I don't like any other brands. Gutted. Still managed to spend over £30 on other stuff though!

Misunderstood flight time home. Unexpected rush to leave holiday cottage. Hadn't got time to repack luggage so left a lovely bottle of red wine.

I feel your pain. It’s my first day off work for 2 weeks and mine put his back out yesterday, so phoned in sick today!! He’s got right on my tits shuffling about and groaning all day. He had the cheek to say that I don’t know what real pain is! 😂😂

Aww i hate it when that happens. I saw a lovely cat today, i stopped to ask if i could stroke it, it jumped down from the windowsill just into reach then stalked off before i could stroke it.
