I need inspiration. Eat meat and fish. Not great at eating a wide variety of veg (bad, i know) will likely have to go to the shop as not a lot in. Would like a big fat greasy takeaway but have neither the waistline or the funds.

Cheese on toast

Had a big lunch

PollyCherry · 23/07/2025 18:16

Ooh cheese on toast sounds ideal. No bread until Asda man gets here though

catinacone · 23/07/2025 18:17

Courgette pasta as the veg box was delivered today and we always have some sort of veg with pasta that day.

growinguptobreakingdown · 23/07/2025 18:20

Salad :Lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber
Roast chicken, pine nuts, cooked beetroot and dressing. Just back from holiday and craving healthy food.
Rest of family had shop bought quiche, roast potatoes with garlic and rosemary (par boiled then airfried) and salad.
Edited due to typo

Chicken skewers, corn on the cob and sticky rice, ooh and a cheeky prosecco 😉

JengaNonConfirming · 23/07/2025 18:21

We're having sweetcorn fritters, topped with bacon, halloumi, poached egg and salsa 😋

JoWawa · 23/07/2025 18:21

Tea

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 23/07/2025 18:21

I made Chicken Satay but I tried doing it differently from the usual recipe to simplify it and it ended up being both too salty and too sour!

justasking111 · 23/07/2025 18:22

Husband is poaching chicken breasts. Final dish will be a creamy sauce made with creme fraiche, shallots, garlic, peas chicken and pasta. It's always tasty.

PeonyPatch · 23/07/2025 18:22

TheChosenTwo · 23/07/2025 18:22

devildeepbluesea · 23/07/2025 18:26

In the middle of linguine with prawns, capers, lemon and chilli. It’s nice.

onwardandupwards · 23/07/2025 18:26

Fried egg waffle sandwich

Canonlythinkofthisone · 23/07/2025 18:28

Oooo we're having a splash out full English for dinner tonight. Not the usual style for us at all but we both just really fancied it.
Sausage, bacon, eggs, black pudding, tomato, beans, mushrooms, hash browns and fried bread 🤣
We've both been eating and exercising really well recently so we're having a little splurge
Normally noodles/stir fry/ramen or salmon and veg/chicken and veg

WrigglyDonCat · 23/07/2025 18:29

I don’t think I’ve ever had poached chicken before. Is it nice?

Eastendboysandwestendgirls · 23/07/2025 18:33

Not particularly hungry and CBA cooking so had a tin of soup. It was a bit blah.

chattyness · 23/07/2025 18:34

Chicken schnitzel, sweet corn, green beans, and some leftover new potatoes which I'm going to reheat by frying in butter with a little oil then add some chopped chives and parsley from my garden.

Cara707 · 23/07/2025 18:36

Spice tailor kerala curry (made with paneer in place of the chicken) with naan, peas, carrots and broccoli. It's nicer than a take away!
