In shops and cafes, barking and making people jump, tripping over them in the street... Seems everyone and their Auntie Flo has a dog nowadays.

There’s more annoying humans out there than dogs, though granted a lot of dogs are with the annoying humans.

😂

I agree @WilmaFlintstone38 but there's probably no need for another thread about it.* *

Sleepyheads

I'm glad it's not just me who tries to cover the sofas in blankets only to have the dogs choose to sleep in the only spot which isn't covered 😂

Anyway my two good boys would like to point out that they are quieter, cleaner and better behaved than most children (and humans in general) and, if they are allowed in these places, then why shouldn't they be there?

Oh my God! What beautiful dogs! They look so healthy and happy 😍😍😍

Barking and making people jump? Tripping over them in the street? 😂

😂

I don't think this thread has gone the way OP wanted it to.

I love all the dog photos.

You are wrong!
Rveryone and their auntie Flo has at least five dogs nowadays!!
The days of just having a dog are gone, we are now in a dog arms race, they all consider themselves super expert dog owners and they have to have a whole pack of dogs under their command.
Having dogs under their command consists of taking them out for a walk and letting them off the lead to do what they like (because being a dog owner is all about letting the dog indulge its natural instincts and do whatever it wants) whilst they are chatting away on their phone and paying no attention whatsoever to the fact that their creatures are defecating everywhere and annoying people.

So fucked off with some owners who are totally useless.
Someone let their dog jump at me several times the other day andin the end I said "No!" to the dog. It stood down and looked at me, the useless owner [who was gawping at her phone said
"Oh it's alright, he's friendly."
So I replied "Well I'm not, so control your bloody dog."
She walked off muttering and had to call the dog several times before it followed her! As I said totally useless owner.
I love all animals and have next to no time for most people, but it's people who can't control their animals or baby them that really annoy me.
On the island where I swear there are more sodding dogs than kids.

OP, if you are always tripping over dogs have you thought about an eye test?

CoubousAndTourmalet · 25/06/2025 14:29

Must admit, I trip over my cat a lot. Tend not to trip over the dog. Mind you, she's not much of a one for shops and cafes so that could be why...🤔

Arran2024 · 25/06/2025 14:31

I have two big dogs but no way am I taking them into John Lewis or Waterstones. They would be bound to lift their legs on something. It's bad enough at Pets At Home.

Op, thank you for starting this thread. It's so uplifting seeing the photos of the gorgeous doggies. The best thread in a long time

Badbadbunny · 25/06/2025 14:34

I've no problem with dogs

I DO have a big problem with useless/hopeless dog owners who can't control them and let them reek havoc either off the lead or with those moronic extendable leads, or even on leads, let them jump all over random passers-by.

Just control them and everyone will be happier!
