My mum got a St Tropez self tanning mousse subbed with carrot batons a couple of years back. I hope the pick and packer did it deliberately and had a good laugh over it 😂

I ordered a clear blue pregnancy test about 5 years ago and they subbed it for durex! Talk about close the door after the horse has bolted!

I ordered a 2l plastic kitchen jug and got sent 2x 1l jugs 😅 not a wild sub but I did think wtf when I saw the email receipt

Bloodybhell these are funny! I was 😵‍💫 when I ordered two lamb shanks and got two bags of frozen minced lamb ...

BIL and SIL got their cat food subbed with dog food. So bizarre. I know the machine comes up with subs but you'd hope a bit of common sense was applied.

I had ordered separately marmite and peanut butter. They gave me... Marmite flavoured peanut butter (I kid you not!) I tried some, it was absolutely disgusting - I can't imagine it's a collaboration that lasted long.

I ordered burger buns and got a bag off lindt mini eggs. 😵‍💫

I ordered a single pre mixed can of gin and tonic and got a 24 multipack, that was a nice substitute.

A very random one though was I ordered some pickled onions to have with a ploughman’s and instead received some oat milk 🤷🏼‍♀️. I take it some sort of error was made there somewhere.

I find uber eats and just eat grocery shops are the best and worst substitutions. Alongside the gin I also had a kg of chicken breast instead of a pack of 2 chicken breasts, 60 persil washing up capsules instead of a small box and a full birthday cake instead of an individual one. This evens out the few occasions where multiple items of my order were missing and I just get the response “your feedback has been noted for future deliveries”.

I had to use those services for a short period of time when I was recovering from illness, I wouldn’t use them again when I don’t think I ever received the right order and the mark up is huge. I usually waited for offers but the most expensive item I noticed was over £6 for 4 tins of beans from Iceland. I think you have to be pretty desperate or with no other alternatives like I was to pay that.

Actual bananas instead of foam bananas and shrimps sweets 🤔

Oh and two shampoo instead of a shampoo and conditioner set. Why not just select a different conditioner from the insane brand????
