I'm starting a go fund me to send Starmer on a one way trip into space. Who's with me?

Lighthearted. Ish.

OP posts:
TheBig50 · 20/05/2025 03:59

Can we organise a suitable replacement first please? If so, I'm all in.

I was going to say what a waste of space he is. Boom boom.

What a let down. I don't even know what he stands for and I voted for him.

Lost in Space Sir Starmer.... waves

You can tell he doesn't care because he's the only PM to gain weight once elected.
All others start looking a bit gaunt, a bit more grey. The stress tends to show.

Which part of I voted for him did you miss?

Of course I'm a bloody disgruntled Labour voter. Are there any who aren't?

Nevermind eh?

Do enlighten me (a staunch lifetime Labour supporter) of the policies I think he should be applauded for.
Please.

Or completely miss the point and trot out a load of bollocks.

TheBig50 · 20/05/2025 04:17

I might just YouTube Neil Kinnock falling over in the sea. Something to smile about. Only because it was funny.

I don't want anyone to jump on that comment and start calling me right wing.

sesquipedalian · 20/05/2025 04:30

I am unashamedly right wing, but despairing of politics at the moment. Starmer’s ceding of our fishing rights, though - that really is a new low. I’ll chip in to sending him into space, but I’m not feeling that any replacement will necessarily be an improvement, unfortunately.

Fishing was cited as a big reason for Brexit. I was a remainer btw. But I can imagine even more people are disgruntled with him now.

I hear you OP loud and clear! After voting Labour, I despair of their decisions.removing the fuel allowance, means testing the disabled, selling us down the river to eu.worse DH ,best friend and sis won't hear a word against him! I recall when he was elected he said he would work 9 to 5 only as well.

Just out of interest what do you think he should have done ? Not what he shouldn't have.

What the hell does his weight have to do with it? Imagine saying the same about a female prime minister.

I know. Theresa did look quite thin and stressed towards the end. Not surprisingly.

Better?

dottiedodah · 20/05/2025 06:26

Neurodiversitydoctor I think he should have left benefits alone for a start.also to take away heating allowance more gradually. How many people in a normal job work 9 to 5 these days.the EU fishing saga is just pants! The worst thing is his total disregard for the UK .he hates us.He complains about having to make cuts yet spent 2 to 3 billion on Ukraine. A

Fishing industry worth £483 million to UK in 2021. Can continue to fish and now sell fish into the EU on same terms agreed by the Tory Brexiters. Music industry worth £7,600 million to the UK in 2023. Still cannot tour freely in the EU after Brexit. I'm sick of being held to ransom by a small sector of the UK economy. Especially one that needs a European market to sell the bloody fish being caught.

Of course we need to protect our fishing rights but I’m confused because I’ve rarely met anyone British who eats fish except fish fingers.

Do we eat all the fish we catch?

No. And in fact, processing fish and selling it into the EU has been a nightmare since Brexit.

Yep, count me in
