Husband wearing expensive aftershave into office

He works in a big office for a national company, doesn’t have to dress up wearing a suit or anything - its fairly casual.

AIBU to say wearing Creed Aventus aftershave in every day is a bit OTT?!

I wear expensive perfume in to the office. I also wear expensive perfume when I'm working from home. What's the point in having it if you don't use it?

Wow. Yeah, YANBU. Anything more than Febreze in such an environment is a waste. Actually, make that a supermarket own Febreze.

It’s a going out/posh aftershave isn’t it, just seems a bit ridiculous to inflict that on colleagues 😂

Unless there's some drip feed about how you're struggling to pay bills and he's prioritising buying this over feeding his kids I can't see the issue

My DH has worn expensive aftershave all his life. He wears it every day no matter where he is going. He smells lush.

I only have one perfume. I use it daily…

I don’t see the issue. Dh and I love nice smells. He wears Dior or Chanel fragrance every day.

I wear my expensive perfume as an every day perfume. I haven’t spent that much money for it to be wasted. They go off after a few years.

Creed wouldn’t be my definition of a ‘posh’ aftershave, why can’t he wear it daily, seems a normal thing to do? I wear scent even when wfh!!

Sounds like you don’t like the smell of it (and I don’t blame you), so surely it’s better if he wears it when not with you?

I used to save my nice perfume for special occasions but then they went off from being opened for years.

Now I'm making a conscious effort to use them. They bring me joy

I buy my DH expensive aftershave for Christmas and he always wears it, even to walk round to the local shop.

I wear nice perfume everyday. Dh wears his posh aftershave all the time. Why not? It goes off if you leave it sat on the shelf too long anyway.

At over £300 for 100ml it’s not exactly cheap.
DH wears Chanel or Jo Malone every day and whilst expensive it’s a lot cheaper than £300.

I wear perfume to wfh and to bed ( I live and sleep alone). I enjoy the smell. I definitely wear nice perfume to the office. Why wouldn't you want to smell good? I really don't get the issue.

Buy him some Lynx next time.

Only a concern if he's just started doing it after never wearing aftershave before - I'd be wondering who he was trying to impress

One of my colleagues wears Creed green Irish tweed to work and I absolutely love it lol I walk past his office just to have a sniff 😂

Eugh I hate when people "save it for best". Things are only worth the money you spend on them if you actually use them. You'd probably moan if it sat unused in the bottle.

I wear mine every day, most people don’t go out to fancy stuff enough to use a whole bottle.
Don’t save best things! Use them. Feel your best every day.
