Someone Told Me My Husband Is Seeing Someone

Ok Im new on here and im seriously worried.

Last week I had to get a taxi to a GP appointment because I wasnt feeling very well.
Its only a 15 minute walk but i have been really ill.
My hubby goes out to a bar every night and uses taxis.

The taxi driver chatted to me during the journey and said he dropped my hubby and his sister off to a club on the easter saturday.
He has two sisters and has never socialised with them.
I asked him what the woman looked like he said about 59 ish. dark hair in a bob medium build. It sounds like his first wife.
I went to the surgery because I have been having a ache in my lower stomach not sharp but dull. Having to wee a lot and when i do wee it feels like a mild cystitis and my vulva is itchy and irritated too.
Its keeping me awake too.
The doctor said it sounds like a UTI and prescribed Trimethoprim suspension ( i hate swallowing pills).
Two weeks on i still feel no better. Im phoning the surgery tomorow.
Someone has texted me to say he is seeing someone else for a very long time.
What do i do?.

First thing tomorrow, I'd book an STI test at a women's health clinic.

I know a few taxi drivers, they vary as much as any group of people so someone wouldn't say a word and others would drop him right in it, because they won't be complicit in that kind of behaviour.

I'd get the Health test ASAP because that's one practical thing you can focus on, have you any other suspicions?

And yeah, why is he going out to bars every night without you? Not that he can't go out without you, but why every night?

He goes out because he says its his only pleasure.
Im seriously worried that i have a STI my symptoms are coming up as chlamydia or gonnorhear.
He is 15 years older than me.

I'm amazed the taxi driver remembered such detail let alone shared the description. I'm sure taxi drivers are well used to people being in their cabs with people they shouldn't be

It actually happened to a friend of mine when his wife was cheating. The taxi driver went on and on about a woman he picked up earlier that day from the same hotel (they were away for business and working together) who was talking to her boyfriend and gushing how she can’t wait to see him once back from the business trip

As you say, you need to go to the GUM clinic as your illness could be something your rascal husband has passed on.

Has he cheated before? I guess you must know who it is, or suspect something? It sounds a lot if he's husband of the year and this all happened!

Did he definitely not go to the club with his sister? Where was he that night? Did he say?

Did you know the taxi driver? Could you ask the number who texted you for proof of infidelity?

To be honest I wouldn't have patience with any man who goes out drinking every night. Do you go out with him op, how does he react when you suggest it? I'd be digging into phone records etc and having a look at finances. Get yourself a sexual health check done ASAP.

I know that. It's just indiscreet and I'm surprised. I'm not saying it was wrong per se. Just that most taxi drivers don't get involved in clients 'affairs', literal or otherwise.

Some people falsely call the emergency services for attention others use mumsnet (for a daily mail fail) Mumsnet is preferred option IMO. Fill your boots.
IF any of this is true, OP . LTB , he is going out every night without you, via a taxi. You sound gullible and therefore at risk.
if you are worried about sexual
health, book yourself in at a clinic (wouldn’t bother with GP, they are likely to skirt around infidelity and are trained to refer such cases to a sexual health clinic). Your local sexual health clinic will have heard it all (and much worse), will be confidential, professional and won’t bat an eyelid. They can also help you to the LTB and connect you with appropriate services.
