I had a baby today

That’s all. I had a baby today (actually yesterday! But I haven’t been to sleep yet). And I’m in hospital and I’m looking at her perfect, tiny face, and I am completely turned inside out and annihilated by love for her.

Nothing has ever felt like this.

@NewestMum Congratulations 😍 I hope you and your girl are doing well! I spent the first night just staring at my boy too. I remember feeling so completely overwhelmed but more content than I’d ever been in my life.

Enjoy every minute and soak up all that newborn smell 😍

Also, as well as pictures (which I’m sure your phone is already full of 😁) try and remember to take a few videos over the next few weeks of all her newborn snuffles and faces. It’s some of my favourite things to look back on to remember just how tiny and fresh DS was ☺️

I remember the first night after having each of my babies, it was such a special time. I just held them and stared at them for hours. I couldn’t believe they were mine, I just felt so lucky.

DC1 was 30 yesterday. You never forget. He'll become a parent himself in the next few weeks, to say we're all thrilled is an understatement.
