Christmas Album recommendations

I’m sure we’ve all got a Michael Ball or Buble Christmas album, but what other Christmas albums are good to listen to?

My contribution is Jamie Callum’s ‘ Piano Man at Christmas’. Some gorgeous original songs, and it’s become my default ‘wrapping Christmas present up’ music. (And you don’t have to be a jazz lover to enjoy it).

Mariah Carey's original one. Really good album. If you like John Denver, husband Rocky Mountain Christmas is lovely.

My favourite carol is Huron Carole (Twas in the Moon of Wintertime), the first Canadian carol, written in 1643. I grew up to Tom Jackson singing it, but have heard the Sarah McLaulan version in Wonderland which is good

The Wurzels Christmas Album.

It's pure cheese but very funny!

The Gritterman narrated by Paul Whitehouse, but it is a bit of a tear jerker

I personally love the 'Ultra Lounge Christmas Cocktails albums' (easily found on Spotify), there are 3 of them, something a little different, very jazzy and 1950's / 1960's ish. They never fail to make me smile and get into the Christmas spirit. Volume 2 (with the green cover) is a great one to start with! And 'Christmas Trumpets' on volume 1 (red cover track 3) is so jolly!
