I was just browsing M&S for workwear inspiration when I saw these model poses...what happened to just standing or sitting so that people could see what the clothes look like? 🤣

Lunges??! Yoga? Can't quite reach my foot??

People don't even just stand or sit for their own photos these days. Always an Insta style pose. It's an arms race. Models probably trying to stay one step ahead.

Top left made me actually snort!

Sone of them are also really annoying if you actually want to see the clothes, lol.

How on earth can you see what a garment looks like when the model is scrunched up, or arms over their face or whatever. I want to see a proper picture of the dress/ jumper/ trousers please.

I take it as a sign that the clothes probably look dreadful even on a stunning model so the ridiculous pose redirects your attention.

Really had to reply to this as I was thinking exactly the same a couple of days ago while looking at the M@S website. I was actually looking for clothes for my 96 year old Auntie and couldn’t find a single thing, what happened to all the classic stuff they used to sell . Anyway back to your comment, it actually put me off buying anything , it all looked weird and not even fitting properly . I was thinking it was down to my age 60 but I don’t class myself as someone who wears older persons clothes, River Island is my favourite place to shop . I have noticed though that a lot of shops have these models who look like they just don’t want to be there …..Zara for instance …..maybe it’s the new look, I don’t like it though , doesn’t make me want to buy the clothes……oh and edited to say , is the one wearing the coat doing a ‘silly walk’ ……pretty sure there was a comedy on the TV where a comedian used to do the exact same walk…..showing my age now

Hate it when I'm looking at tops or whatever and the models are all striking weird poses so I can't actually see the garment properly. Makes me wonder if there's something wrong with it if they can't present it clearly.

They are all the poses I do it the fitting room to check I really like it, if it doesn't pass the point at knee arm over head pose I don't buy it ! 😬 😂

I hate all the squatting. How can you see what clothes look like on a squatting person?

As well as the stupid poses can i add - tucking the effing top in so you can't see at a glance how long it is !!

I have noticed this on M&S too. I thought they must have been looking at Zara.
this was my favourite spot the other week. She needed a wee then found a bush to squat in! It did help disguise the fact she was wearing a shapeless sequin sack though.
