To think women should now help Kamala Harris?

I read that Kamala Harris (or, to be more precise, her campaign) is now badly in debt.

Do you think it would help if her many supporters across the world, but especially on Mumsnet and in "progressive" countries like Norway and Ireland, rallied around and helped to pay off this deficit?

Like another US politician said, surely there is "a special place in hell" for women who abandon the woman they previously supported? Would it hurt if you sent her just £20?

Excited for Kamala 2028...

lol

Waltdisnerd · 07/11/2024 12:20

No

MinnieCauldwell · 07/11/2024 12:20

Expect her to disappear from mainstream politics, she will probably pop up in some UN position or business

StillAtTheRestaurant · 07/11/2024 12:20

You can't donate to the campaign unless you're a US citizen.
And lol at 2028. She's done.

usernother · 07/11/2024 12:21

Has she set up a go fund me? Grin

OrwellianTimes · 07/11/2024 12:21

No. She ran for president - she knew the risks.

hazelnutvanillalatte · 07/11/2024 12:21

Where did the biscuit emoji go?

Hoppinggreen · 07/11/2024 12:22

That would be a no from me, nothing personal and I wish she had won but she didn't

Kago2790 · 07/11/2024 12:23

Jesus

TheKeatingFive · 07/11/2024 12:23

Wtf? She's not paying for it herself, it's Democrat party money.

pinkdelight · 07/11/2024 12:25

Not sure about Kamala 2028. I think both parties need to seriously sort their shit out re. succession planning and have a much wider field coming through with some proper development and build up, not this short-sighted mess of clinging onto very old men and then being surprised when it suddenly doesn't work out. They had Biden's whole term to build KH up as successor, it didn't happen and then her campaign failed. I don't think carrying on like that is a smart route. I can't even get into the women should bail out her campaign debts side of things as it's so odd. Like I'd give money away on the word of someone who thought any woman had a 'special place in hell'. Whoever said that is no fan of women.

SummerSnowstorm · 07/11/2024 12:25

Is this meant to be a joke or something? Or mocking?

Justcallmebebes · 07/11/2024 12:26

If she runs in 2028 I will eat every one of my several hats. Don't forget she ran in the 2020 primaries and dropped out in the first round without a single vote

Dems will now dump her so fast, her feet won't touch.

TheoriginalMrsDarcy · 07/11/2024 12:26

I'm.pretty sure Kamalas campaign received alot of donations to the tune of some $1 billion. Plus she good friends with Beyonce, Opera Winfrey, George Clooney, the Obamas. Collectively, their pockets are VERY deep..They could dig deep to help rather than us mere mortals who are struggling to put food on the table and pay bills.

The Democrats need to find a better candidate for 2028. Kamala doesn't fit the bill. Democrats have rich celebrities, stars, singers endorsing them, not representative of the average working family. They're are more poorer average citizens out there than there are wealthy families. They need to tap into that and understand everyone's needs to get their votes. People vote Trump not because they like him, they just don't like Democrats more.

lifeturnsonadime · 07/11/2024 12:26

Until she stops fawning over men who claim to be women and starts putting women's rights and sports and the safety of children first she's not deserving of a penny of my money.

RingoJuice · 07/11/2024 12:27

Is this a joke? She’s done. She’s never even won a primary and Shapiro, Whitmer, Newsome are far better candidates. She’s gonna retire after this term for sure

ATastingMenuButItsAllCrisps · 07/11/2024 12:27

Throw money at a millionaire or you'll end up in 'hell'? Nah.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 07/11/2024 12:27

You want me to send money to the Vice President of the USA, who was backed by her party and the party donors in her bid for the presidency and who had Oprah and JLo, among many others, support her bid?

Because she’s a woman?

Ok..

arethereanyleftatall · 07/11/2024 12:29

😂

She doesn't even know what a woman is.

peanutbuttertoasty · 07/11/2024 12:30

Sorry, what now?

MyEarringsAreGreen · 07/11/2024 12:30

Excited for Kamala 2028

You are joking? Democrats have put in a women twice against Trump and lost both times. They'll not be that daft in 2028!

EasternStandard · 07/11/2024 12:32

No thanks

Her campaign was incredibly well funded, it had over a billion.

MillerMuller · 07/11/2024 12:33

I ran for the PTFA but didn't get in 😥
Actually came last.
DM me for my bank details.

Sarahconnor1 · 07/11/2024 12:33

Nope. Her extremely wealthy backers can pick up the tab, there are much more worthy women centred causes in the UK that people can donate to if they want.

Riapia · 07/11/2024 12:38

She had many famous friends on the way up. Will they still be as keen to be seen to support her on the way down.
Doubt it.
