Husband called friend an idiot…..

I am in a charity fundraising club. This morning a friend called round to drop off some things, collect some things and share some great fundraising ideas.My husband came in from the local shop and said who is the idiot parked across our drive. Knowing full well it was the woman in front of him. I was and remain shocked and surprised, he thinks it was funny, I do not . He refuses to acknowledge that this is an inappropriate way to speak to ANY woman. He would never call me an idiot. He did apologise at my insistence, but continues to maintain it was ok.

The fundraiser was at your house I take it?
Maybe she shouldn't have parked right across the drive.

Parking across a driveway is an idiot thing to do though....

Assume the driveway was empty and there wasn't a second car on there that she parked across blocking it in?
If it was empty then she was a bit silly to park across it. I wouldn't have come in and called her an idiot though.

Was she blocking him from getting back onto the drive? Would he have said that to a man?
Does he like that you are involved in fund raising and it means people coming to the house? Some men will carry on in a way to put people off.

Even if they are visiting the person who lives in the house? Who also didn't say that they'll be needing access?

The fact she shared some great fundraising ideas doesn't mean she didn't park like an idiot.

It was bad mannered of him to say that to your friend. Simple as.

i assume the vistor was parked like a dick! your husband was in his own home and free to speak as he pleased to whatever sex or gendar the parker was

Don't people often tell visitors "just park on the drive, we aren't going anywhere" in real life?

Such a non issue. I’ve said much worse to my friends, as long as it’s light hearted I don’t think anyone’s going to cry over being called an idiot
