Ah ok sorry I misread, thought there was another coming out besides the January release!

@WhichOneIsPosher nice !
I love Friends.
Have you got the Community Kitchen?
It's designed to add an extra floor to the tower?

@Needmorelego I was looking at that one but it's now retired 😫 I think if I had that I'd prob keep it separate as I love the top part of it

I’d love another modular in all but name, like the botanical garden. Which I still haven’t started building, but that’s by the by.

Finished the dragon boats!

I just lost 4 hours building the Tudor corner! I'm really enjoying it, evidently 😁 it's my first modular.
I didn't realise that Modulars only come out one a year. A good job really considering my expensive LEGO habit. I've had a difficult week and building the French café and starting the Tudor Corner has really helped whilst binge watching detective shows. I've completed bags 1-8. Lego probably works out cheaper than therapy. That's what I tell myself. I'm ND and it's my special interest and brings me so much joy. I love that I can get fully absorbed and do it alone.

Is anyone really into the minifigures? I've not been bitten by that bug yet. They are fun though.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 09/03/2025 06:31

Also ND @LegoTherapy . I think there is a lot of love for Lego among ND adults - lots ot possible reasons I can think of.

Modulars and minifigures are my favourite. I love the humour of the minifigures. So happy Lego now sells those little blind bags of them, definitely wasn’t a thing when I was a kid!

Van Gogh i have also Hedwig and sunflowers, roses .
I have the cherry blossom tree and somecdaffodils and tulips to do

@LegoTherapy many of us can relate. I only have VG Sunflowers and the Retro Radio in my to build pile. DH is dreadful with Land Rovers, various bits of Space Programmes and Jaws still to build. I'm tempted by the French Cafe as it looks quite narrow & should fit at the front of a bookcase

LegoTherapy · 09/03/2025 12:02

@Dearover I'll take a photo later of the French Café next to something for scale so you can see. It felt quite foreign building it. Lots of new pieces and colours so it held my interest well. I watched all the French Disney films I could think of while building so Aristocats, Hunchback of Notes Dame and Beauty and the Beast 🥰

LegoTherapy · 09/03/2025 21:33

@Dearover here you go, sandwiched between two standard paperbacks for scale. I think it looks smaller for being next to the books.

It does look dinky. Adding to the list.

I saw a play of A Thousand Spendid Suns once. Very cleverly done.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 10/03/2025 07:34

@LegoTherapy there aren't any minifigs in the French cafe, are there? I was on the fence, but that has pushed me back off!

LegoTherapy · 10/03/2025 07:43

No, no minifigures but it's a quirky build and looks lovely.

I'm enjoying the Tudor Corner so much. It's my favourite build so far. I've finished the ground floor and am now onto the second. I'm debating whether or not I should get the gwp corner kiosk from eBay but the prices are a bit silly.

Dearover · 10/03/2025 15:12

I've started building the Retro Radio today (unexpected day off) and I've used my insider points to get a substantial discount on the French Cafe.

There's a new gwp of a s m all flower display with purchases over £135. Seems steep what looks like not very much.

I've just finished the Tudor Corner and I've loved it. I've left the clock on the outside for ds to do and he can place the chimney sweep. It's my favourite build so far. According the one builder app it took me over 15 hours. How much is therapy per hour? Well, whatever therapy is then this was way cheaper and so much better for me. It's been a joy. Worth every penny. It felt like a huge cost for something that's just for me but I'm glad I went for it. The best thing was no fiddly stickers and no really fiddly bits in general. The hocus pocus house and home alone house were so fiddly and things always flit about too easily then it's hard to get them back on.
Ds and I are eyeing up the Jazz Club. We aren't into jazz but love music and particularly like the little Italian place that snuggles next to it. We might be modular fans now.

LegoTherapy · 14/03/2025 08:49

I’ve been counting our Lego sets and registering them in the builder app and we have 100 sets so far!
