Galaxy counters have been discontinued

Am reallllllly sad. I don't want minstrels. And I don't want to buy a bag of revels just to get counters. Also I don't want a bar of galaxy.
Everywhere near me is a counter free place. The only counters are the ones you put the till on.

Maybe the one show will do a bit on their untimely demise. I am sad.

Oh please don't let this be true-for the mid-50s teeth they are a vital alternative to Minstrels!

This has ruined my week evening.

I thought they'd already been discontinued once and brought back? When I was a kid they only existed as the occasional one in a packet of Revels. Often seems to happen when they bring back discontinued things TBH — there's a surge of interest due to nostalgia, then interest dies down and they discontinue them again for the same reason they did the first time. Though to be fair they've been back on the market for about fifteen years now, which is longer than most reboots last.

Dd bought some this week in Tesco & Co Op

I had a packet just the other day
Had no idea it would be my last packet of Counters.

I have noticed, sadly, that Wrigley's no longer sell chewing gum (unless you want some form of menthol gum) in local shops anymore although you can get it in bulk online, oddly enough.

still have them here in Tesco, Morrisons, and even had some in my ocado order yesterday. They are even still featurd on the galaxy website.

Counters and minstrels are not the same thing so why are people mentioning minstrels. It’s like comparing apples with oranges.

Counters don’t have that sickly sugar grit wax shell. They’re far superior in every bloody way. Damn those who kill them off!

Not a brag, more reassurance.... I picked some up today from local coop. There was loads. Maybe just supply issues rather than discontinued??

Hear me out…..

If you empty a bag of minstrels into a glass of milk the sugar shell will melt away leaving you with something quite close to counters.

The milk is quite drinkable too!

How are they different from minstrels?

They don't have the Crisp outer shell.

Pop to Aldi and buy their choceur white chocolate- the bar in the box. It's just like milkybar.

You can still get topics and drifters where I live. And of course counters
