ASOS “fair use returns policy”

Did anyone else get this email from ASOS? Aibu to wonder whether they sent it to a select group of people?

I have the ASOS next day delivery service which has led to me ordering a lot from them. I’d say recently I’ve placed a few returns including a faulty item, so I wonder if I’ve flagged up.

I think too much choice is what happened to Gap too. Their website was overwhelming.

I just read the guardian article then checked my emails.
Then checked my order history.i order from asos roughly once or twice a year. Around a hundred quid. I have to order in multiple sizes and ranges (am I tall or not tall in that dress?) Because their sizing is random. I cba sending stuff back. Sell things that fit. Or give me all the precise measurements so I can check.

I'm pissed off that asos are lying their arses off about who they're sending emails to too.

I’d much prefer to go into a bricks and mortar shop and try things on for size and see how they look. But the shops just don’t have the stock. I see stuff I like online, go to the actual shop and they don’t have my size, or don’t even have the item at all.
I ordered six tops online yesterday and intend to keep one when I have a chance to try them on.

I have received the email from Asos I will be charge a returns fee of £3.95 per order unless I keep £15+ from my order as I have a delivery pass.

I would say that 99.9% of my orders are for my student daughter. But do return lots of the items as their sizing is inconsistent, white tops on models are actually transparent IRL and quality is lacking.
I recently ordered her a crop top with thick shoulder straps and the armhole for the head was smaller than that for the arm and she couldn't even get it over her head as it wasn't elasticated! Purchased another one and it was the same.

Shame they are not gradually introducing a £2 returns fee as it wouldn't feel so bad.
I will not be buying from Asos going forward unless I KNOW we will keep the item so cosmetics etc Any suggestions for clothes shops please?

I would rather go into a store and try clothing on but it's all the same old New Look, Next etc and they don't hold much stock so you have to order on line anyway.

It's ridiculous that some people are £15 and some (me) are £40. I just won't order anything now.

From the email I received I think it implied mine is only £15 as I have currently have a delivery pass.

PrimalLass · 18/09/2024 11:46

Ah maybe that's it, as mine has run out and won't be renewed.

Sooo not shopping from ASOS, sounds like a nightmare. You can get most brands elsewhere with better and less complicated returns.

To be honest, it’s been nice not having access to my ASOS subscription anymore. Sometimes I would rush and buy an outfit the day before an outing, just because I can. And inevitably end up with something crap because ASOS’s website isn’t great and items are not as advertised.

@Thefarawaytree1 I’m reverting back to Zara for most things. I might try oh polly or inthestyle for a dress for an upcoming event.

Sometimes the deals around Christmas are just too good to beat though.

Same here. It will save me lots of money!
