We alternate his family and mine every year so it’s always effectively decided. That said, this year I will be supremely pregnant so who knows what will actually happen.

I start thinking about Christmas around the 20th December! Though this thread has just sparked a conversation with DH about how nice it would be to go away and ignore the whole thing. *shuffles off muttering.

I wait until December. Most people I know do this. Not sure why’d you want to wish your life away, but then I’m the one dreaming of sun in late January! If I’m that desperate I get some winter sun. Can you go somewhere Christmassy in August and have more of what you enjoy?

Of course not! We rarely plan anything beyond the next weekend. And having first baby in November so expect we’ll just stay home

No, I’m thinking of going away, not sure yet. In fact I looked at a Christmas cruise earlier today (never been on a cruise). No idea what we will go for but I fancy a break from the norm.

We haven't discussed it but I've vaguely pondered to myself. It's my turn to work between Christmas and new year. Unless they have other plans, we'll go over to the inlaws after breakfast and stay over there. If they are going away we'll have a quiet one at home, which I'm in favour of.
