It was parents evening last week at kids sch

ABIU to think it is not nice to have a register to sign in when it's ones booked time to go in & speak to child's teacher? The register is got the child's name, and parents names next to it and a signature box to sign in.

ABIU to think there shouldn't be parents full names on the registration form? For privacy reasons?

It's not that serious.
It's like when they call your name out in the Dr's

Nobody cares.

Cosycover · 26/06/2024 19:14

Ffs

TinyYellow · 26/06/2024 19:14

It wouldn’t even occur to me to consider this an issue. What do you think other parents are going to do with that information? They probably already know many of the children’s names and family surnames in a school. How is adding the parents first name going to cause a problem?

FatmanandKnobbin · 26/06/2024 19:14

Literally nobody cares.

They are there for their kids parents night and that's it.

Im surprised doctors still do this. The GUM clinic was better. "Number 34"!

ExtraOnions · 26/06/2024 19:17

Are you in a Witness Protection Programme ?

At a GPs, in the ENT department or most other specialisms no one knows exactly what you are attending for.

There as people are generally embarrassed to attend a GUM clinic.

  1. The school knows the parents' full names.
  2. The other parents will only momentarily glance at any other names.
  3. Worst case scenario, they find out that you and your husband are called Mildred and Peregrine. So what?.
wotcanido · 26/06/2024 19:22

Of course under normal circumstances no big deal but not when you already have some very nosy people who you know will take note of the name or even a picture of it and go home to google it no doubt 🤣

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

ahagiraffe · 26/06/2024 19:23

As this wouldn't bother the vast majority of people, I'm interested to hear what the backstory is. .

Mrsttcno1 · 26/06/2024 19:23

Does it really matter if someone knows your name?🤣

SonicTheHodgeheg · 26/06/2024 19:23

Is your name embarrassing ?

ElaineMBenes · 26/06/2024 19:24

Why is this a problem?

They won't have time to photograph your name.
I don't think other people are that interested in you, what makes you think they are?

OrwellianTimes · 26/06/2024 19:27

No, that seems fine to me. I’m sure it’s been that way since I was in school.

TulipCat · 26/06/2024 19:30

No, this is a total non-issue.

LadyFeatheringt0n · 26/06/2024 19:30

Why do you think people would be this interested in you

People are busy getting on with their lives, they aren't interested in you.

DeedlessIndeed · 26/06/2024 19:30

Are you high profile or have been involved in an notorious crime OP?
What interesting results would show if we were to google you?

If googling your name is just going to bring up Facebook posts from 2009, or a mundane Linked in profile, I wouldn't sweat it! :)

PonyPatter44 · 26/06/2024 19:30

Go home and Google it? Ok that is either really weird or really paranoid. What's the difference between being Juliet Sharp and J Sharp?

Blouson · 26/06/2024 19:31

Perhaps OP doesnt want to be SM stalked.

wafflesmgee · 26/06/2024 19:31

Get over yourself. WTAF

Theoware · 26/06/2024 19:31

Also…teachers need to know who actually turned up for parents’ evening as some don’t, even with extensive notice.
