Boss called me an annoying snitch for complaining about my lazy co worker?

Her laziness is affecting my job.

We both clean in a restaraunt. It’s just me and her, no supervisors.
She is extremely lazy, doesn’t do her work, leaves dirt and mess in her area, leaves most of the work to me. Often sits around on her phone. When I show her the mess and dirt she leaves, she rolls her eyes. One time told me « I don’t care, shut up, you are so annoying and you are not my boss, just do it for me, and left »

Management is often angry at us on WhatsApp and often complains about the mess and dirt she leaves. We both get blamed for her lazy horrible cleaning.

I tried speaking to her a million times, she told me she doesn’t care and to stfu.

After 6 months of this and yet another angry complaint hinting they’ll fire us, I had enough and contacted the cleaning company boss, asking him to please speak to her and that the area they were angry about, was hers.

There’s no way the restaurant will keep her on as their own employee. They use an agency for a reason.

Showing them would simply make her look unprofessional.

Decent cleaners are like gold dust around here. Find another job. It's not going to get any better. That reply is atrocious and totally unprofessional - I'd take great pleasure in quitting and leaving them to deal with the fallout. They'll soon realise that losing the one cleaner that actually works was a big mistake.

Get out there and find employers who respect you!!

I'm not American and use both of those terms. Tattle tale was very common when I was at school some 40 years ago 🤷🏻‍♀️

Go off sick for a week, you can self certify
someone else from the agency will have to work with her - may be enlightening
Perhaps get signed off by GP for another week with stress due to bullying manager
Go to HR if you have such a dept with manager text
See solicitor with text from manager re constructive dismissal once you leave/ bullying etc
All the while look for another job
Good luck, people willing to do their job are always in demand

I'm American and I dont know any adult that uses "tattle tale" when speaking to another adult. Dont blame us for this one LOL

Your boss is extremely unprofessional. Hand in your notice and sign up with a good cleaning agency. You don't need crap colleagues like that in your life!

Don't give them a backwards glance. Find yourself another job. You owe them zero loyalty for basically placing the responsibility for ensuring both people's work gets done at your door and name calling you when you bring the disparity in performance to their attention.

Take sick leave for the week. You’ve got the runs, maybe food poisoning.

Leave him to his childish, stupid texts and find another job. Good cleaners are always sought after.

There are many jobs out there, you really don’t need to put up with it
