What are Kim and Kanye doing to this poor kid?

OP posts:
BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 29/05/2024 15:43

Haha 😂 I love Bette Midler!

Mrsjayy · 29/05/2024 15:44

MsLuxLisbon · 29/05/2024 15:40

Lol, that's rich! I still remember Bette Midler saying that the only way to see a part of Kim that we'd never seen was for her to swallow the camera! That was gold.

😂

Feel sorry for the kid having those two as parents. But I now have an earworm of a song by Noel Coward.

Don't put your daughter on the stage, Mrs Worthington!

My Grandad used to sing that to me when I was little 😁

I feel sorry for North, it's not her fault her parents are who they are. She'll look back on this when she's older and be mortified no doubt. I also feel sorry for the people who would have paid for expensive tickets to see that! Apparently Jeremy Irons came to do Be Prepared as Scar though which I bet was AMAZING.

ManilowBarry · 29/05/2024 15:48

If Lila Moss can be a model then North can be a singer and dancer! 😬

Awful nepotism!

YYURYYUCICYYUR4ME · 29/05/2024 15:49

Oh dear. No issue with nepo babies, if they have talent, as I'd do all I could to help me and mine, but.... you need to be able to pull off whatever you are doing and do it well!

Apparently Jeremy irons didn't sing it all in the film it was the man who .voices winnie the pooh!

You're so correct. Lila is incredibly plain. If Kate wanted a model child, she should have fallen pregnant by Johnny Depp, not Jefferson Hack. Lily Rose Depp, while also a product of nepotism, is absolutely beautiful.

Mitsky · 29/05/2024 16:00

I never thought I’d have anything in common with North West but as a child I was desperate to be on stage despite lacking any singing or dancing ability (I could just about act).

Unlike North West, luckily my parents steered me away from pursuing my musical ambitions rather than using their contacts to put me front and centre of a performance that was bound to capture media attention.

LizzieBennett73 · 29/05/2024 16:06

The kid lives in a family circus full of clowns and freaks. There is no "normal" for any of them, and frankly none of those kids stand a prayer of having much of a life unless they run like hell the moment they hit 18. It was unspeakably cruel to put her in the spotlight like that when she can't sing. But I bet she's watching it over and over on repeat thinking how great she was. I don't think we need to worry about her.

Pokske · 29/05/2024 16:47

Watched it without the sound (since you had all warned me[.
What I find strange is that all people on stage had nice elaborate costumes, yet North is there in what looks like a cut off pajama.
It's clearly Kanye's idea. As if the "song and dance" is not enough to humiliate his daughter - he had to "dress" her as well.
I think Kanye hates women, all of them, including his female children.

TinySmol · 29/05/2024 16:55

Dear, oh dear.
Tragic.
Can't hold a tune at all.
Underrehearsed and appears not to be able to dance.

She looks absolutely delighted with herself.
The star of the show, all eyes on her.
Nepotism at its finest.

I don't like Kanye at all, but what makes you so sure it's all on him? The Kardashians are desperately attention seeking even though they have zero talent (except for putting themselves in the spotlight) If Kim had really been against the idea, she could have vetoed it, but I am sure she wasn't.

iAmBarbara · 29/05/2024 17:02

Think letting her do that was unfair on her, her parents (if they had any sense at all!) should encourage her in areas where she has talent, or if she loves acting/singing etc then they have the connections to get her fantastic training. Problem is no one says no to people that powerful, and she just isn’t talented

Ponderingwindow · 29/05/2024 19:08

We all want our children to have the best opportunities for success. There is a fine line between helping them and setting them up for failure.

Arranging a performance at the Hollywood bowl without first putting in the years of training that even child performers normally complete by the time they reach that point, is setting them up for failure. That video will exist on the internet forever.

It's the same story with Brooklyn Beckham. No talent at football. No talent at photography. Maybe a glimmer of talent or at least interest in cooking, but lacks the backbone to follow through. Not very good looking, but somehow managed to bag a modelling contract. It's an utter joke. He seems like a reasonably pleasant person but it still annoys me that he has been handed all these opportunities on a plate and failed to make good on anything. It is tough enough for kids even from normal middle class backgrounds, let alone lower than middle class, without these talentless nepos hogging all the good gigs. I have no issue at all with talented nepo babies, mind. I actually think that lumping all nepobabies in together does more harm than good, because the legitimately talented ones have a fair point that they have as much right to be there as anyone else, but the Lila Mosses and Brooklyn Beckhams and North Wests do not.

TinySmol · 30/05/2024 04:40

Lila Moss is another one.
Not a true model.
Never will be.
Only there because her mother is Kate Moss.

AutumnCrow · 30/05/2024 05:21

Why are there so many nepo-models? I always think it must be a horrible job and existence.

ETA examples: just off the top of my head, Georgia-May Jagger, the Beckham sons Brooklyn and Romeo, Iris Law, Lila Moss, Honey Ross, Lily-Rose Depp, Esther McGregor, Paris Brosnan etc

LoudSnoringDog · 30/05/2024 05:28

GiganticArkReadywithHottub · 30/05/2024 07:29

It's really petty that Kanye is bringing his children into this rift with Jay Z. The week that it's announced that Blue will be voicing one of the lions in Lion King 2, North has to be presented squawking in a community centre am dram lion costume. North looks great, can't they try modelling instead if they really want her to be famous?

Nigellasstickytoffeepudding · 30/05/2024 07:42

@GiganticArkReadywithHottub modeling? Really, at age 10?

I really don't want to be overly personal about a child but unless she blossoms in her teens, I'm not sure she's a model either.

GiganticArkReadywithHottub · 30/05/2024 07:47

@Nigellasstickytoffeepudding I mean obviously I wouldn't with mine but she's got that desire to be in the spotlight. She'll probably sell clothes well.

Beetlebumz · 30/05/2024 08:42

I feel sorry for her. People have been nasty all over the internet and she’ll see it when she gets older. She’s just a child, her parents should have tried harder to keep her out of the public eye.

Only there because her mother is Kate Moss.

Also kept entirely out of the spotlight until she was 16, stayed in school until 18 and by all accounts was a really nice kid hanging out with her school friends and living a normal albeit affluent London childhood. I happen to think she’s very attractive but that’s not the point. Kate kept her childhood private.
