As others have said, it's not a school production, but a ticketed event. I would be furious if I'd paid money for that. Its not her fault, the producers and director should have said no.

She doesn't have talent for singing and I fear she's been pushed into this position because she is North West. The child has a very entitled attitude and that's the parents fault. You can certainly tell that her father is Kanye 🤭

Hugely unfair of her parents. They've pushed her into a position where people are expected to say how fabulous she is when she is in fact just a standard excited, little girl. I think they push her too much on camera (i havent seen any of their shows yet have still be shown by instagram clips of her all the time). We have decades of people pointing out from their own experiences that this is harmful, they're not doing her any favours. She needs the chance to grow up away from the spotlight and she can easily step into it once she's grown if she wants.

Fwiw if this was a school play i would think she was great and very cute.

Don't be silly. She's a child, yes, but does that mean she should be told that she is good when she isn't? To be clear, I'm not blaming her. I'm blaming the Kardashians and their relentless publicity machine. That doesn't alter the fact that talented kids don't get a look in.

It's not just Kanye. The Kardashians are as delusional and entitled as they make them, plus they have zero talent. At least Kanye once had some talent, although I agree that he's a nightmare of a person.

What’s wrong with you. Saying a child is good is not the only other option ro shouting a child is dire and awful as you did. You can say she isn’t capable in a polite way without attacking a child.

I didn't mean she was 'dire' as a person, I was talking about her ability to sing and dance. I make no apology for telling the truth. How do you think you get great and talented dancers and singers? By telling them 'there there, honey, you did great'?! No, it is by tough love. I know, I was a ballerina in my late teens and early twenties. I dropped out because while I was good, I was not good enough to get to the top. I was told things about my performance that would make this softly softly generation's ears bleed, and I was many, many times more talented than North.

Im Sure she will have a lot of opportunities come her way that other kids will only dream about. It would be better for North if her parents encouraged her to only take the ones that played to her strengths. This performance does her no favours.

Genuine question for people who actually know about stage performing (which I do not)...

Am I wrong in thinking that even when someone has natural talent it can be hard to sing in tune on the big stage because they can't necessarily hear themselves sing?

I've definitely seen videos of big stars singing out of tune, like Katy Perry, but I didn't take it to mean they aren't talented. I thought this was just something that happens when the audio in the theatre isn't perfect.

I'm not suggesting that she wasn't chosen largely because of her parents, Im sure that she was. But I'm wondering if the online comments saying that she's talentless might be too harsh.

Also, I think this is all more the fault of whoever caste her more than her parents. They were the ones being unmeritocratic and setting her up to fail for their own gain. Not cool.

Blue isn't as untalented as North, which is unsurprising as she has two talented parents to North's one.
