I saw the 'standing ovation' headline, and just thought, "Huh?"
Then I read the comments in the article, and one pointed out that she did not get a standing ovation - the cast did (I assume at the end, and she was just one of them as part of the applause). Now that makes more sense to me.

She definitely has confidence though, and that - along with her parents money - will probably get her far in life (or at least 'far' in the eyes of her mum and grandmother, and what they seem to be success).

i wonder if that’s Kanye, as she’s on his video, and now this. And quite frankly he’s odd as heck.

I think they are trying to make her like Beyonces daughter who tours with her mum and seems to have talent, and poor North just has over confidence and zero self awareness which isn't the best qualities to instil into a child.

It won't matter to them, but it will to the public. The Kardashians are absolutely despised and even if North was talented, she'd still get eye rolls. As it is, she will be ridiculed. I actually feel as sorry for the children in that family as it is possible to feel sorry for children who will want for nothing materially. The klownshow only cares about fame, fame, fame. It's awful.

I just hope she doesn’t get fucked up by her upbringing. In fairness kylie and Kendal seem ok and they were teenagers when the family became famous. One works hard as a model and the other is the richest out of all of them with her makeup business. It all seems a bit superficial but hey they seem happy.

Are you kidding? Kylie started getting plastic surgery when she was what, 16? Now she’s got a totally different face and body (well, they all do) and looks more like a woman in her 40’s than 20 something.

I think it was a ‘celebrating the musical’ type of event, but all the others who took part were professionals - genuine Broadway stars. It wasn’t like a celeb karaoke type thing. They were all proper musical theatre performers. So it was definitely taking an opportunity from a child with genuine talent - they could have chosen any one of the many talented child performers who worked really hard to get parts in Broadway musicals and actually perform in roles like this night after night.

It’s also really insulting to the other performers on stage, who are hardworking talented cast members having to perform with and sing backing vocals for a spoilt child who can’t sing or dance and who, by the looks of it, hasn’t rehearsed properly.

North is clearly not to blame for all this, because she’s ten and is doing her best. But everyone else involved in this decision is insane.

Kendall is the least weird and obnoxious of them all, I'll give you that (except for Rob, who one tends to forget about) But Kartoon Kylie looks 50 in her mid twenties, and seems really messed up.

Yes and while it’s not something I’d choose for myself or want for my kids (hence my superficial comment) they’re not fucked up in a way they could have been. They don’t appear to be on drugs, having mental breakdowns, etc. I’m sure they’re happy with their lives. 🤷‍♀️. Plastic surgery or no plastic surgery.

I'm not sure they're happy with their lives at all. I think that Kylie probably is on drugs, she seems completely dead behind the eyes. Money aside, I would really hate their life. To be famous for absolutely nothing must be pretty ghastly.

I agree Kendall is the less fake one but she is also known as the most up her own ass one !

North is only a kid, don't matter if she can't sing so no1 should be going on like 'that was ridiculous etc' but I agree she is only getting these opportunities because of her parents and it isn't fair to a kid who has more talent that could've (should've) got the part

I went to watch the clip. OMG she was DIRE. Just awful. I actually am sorry for her, although not as sorry as I am for actually talented people who will be denied opportunities because talentless nepobabies have hogged them all.

I find it awful that her parents are pushing her into the limelight at such a young age, when she hasn’t mastered any art or cultivated any talent, and is basically an average kid.

If she wants to be a performer, they could afford the best dance schools, voice coaches etc. why not help her actually get good at this stuff over the next 10 years, rather than throwing her into a full scale professional production when she can’t actually perform well?

The whole thing was like the drama school kid with very little talent with the PTA parent who cosies up to the teachers, so HAS to be the main person in the school play - the parents smiling beatifically throughout the performance thinking how lucky everyone is to be there 😂
