AnneLovesGilbert · 26/05/2024 20:12

Books?!

I buy clothes for the kids and me. Mostly uniform tbh.

Gingerlygreen · 26/05/2024 20:15

I bought quite a bit of clothing when I was losing weight for when I was at goal but now I'm pretty much there I don't like the majority of what I've bought!

I find charity shops much cheaper and tend to be in better condition.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 26/05/2024 20:16

I buy Clothes.

I try to sell most things. Books never seem to sell well.

Ankylo · 26/05/2024 20:21

clothing and shoes for my toddler mainly. 1 gift for my mum that someone was selling new (a body lotion).

TeenHere · 26/05/2024 20:24

items of clothing I love and want a spare of!

neilyoungismyhero · 26/05/2024 20:27

Clothing for myself. I tend to buy something I like then sell something to pay for it that I don't wear anymore.

JobMatch3000 · 26/05/2024 20:28

Jeans and jumpers for me (I know the brand/style I want).

School uniform, shorts and dresses, PJs and winter jackets for DC (specific brands).

Saintmariesleuth · 26/05/2024 20:32

Good quality jumpers or dresses from brands that I would normally struggle to afford.

Scissorsisters · 26/05/2024 20:34

Occasion wear - brilliant for gala nights on cruises.

trader21c · 26/05/2024 20:35

Swimwear

ellesbellesxxx · 26/05/2024 20:36

Tap shoes
children’s clothes

Echobelly · 26/05/2024 20:37

I might look at it either for basics (denim jacket) or something for an occasion, like a wedding outfit from a label I can't afford new. Every now and then when I fancy treating myself I might look up a make I like and buy something like a desigual top or a boden dress.

Bought some stuff my teen likes, like Lucy & Yak, that's pricey new, and sometimes basics for my son.

alpinia · 26/05/2024 20:37

Mainly baby/kids clothes, toys and stuff. Also, particular items I've seen in store or online and decided were too pricey to buy direct. I sell the same things when they are outgrown or finished using. Often get a similar price to what you paid. It's great!

typicaltuesdaynight · 26/05/2024 20:40

Books,
Toys clothes for myself and kids

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 26/05/2024 20:40

Kids clothing. Amazing bargains to be had. Obsessed with boden!

NotARealWookiie · 26/05/2024 20:41

Mostly clothes and kids/baby stuff

BFE · 26/05/2024 20:41

All sorts of random shit.

Mostly clothes, but in the last week I’ve bought a back protector for horse riding and a light for my hot tub.

I sell things too, just a bit slack about listing them.

DildoHarding · 26/05/2024 20:42

Vintage weebles, crochet books, mug trees to hang crochet on

Lila878 · 26/05/2024 20:42

Mostly toddler clothes but also lunch box, boomwhackers & a jellycat asparagus stuffy 😂

stopringingme · 26/05/2024 20:48

Clothing

Toys

StarDolphins · 26/05/2024 21:25

I buy all my clothes (bar underwear) I go with the brands I like.

sososotocvfgft · 27/05/2024 06:31

I buy all my toddlers clothes on there.
Have bought such a lot of items which are just fit for the bin, so it's been a completely false economy, but I now have tried most 'baby' brands so have a better idea of the quality of those brands. I'm only buying things that have tags on now as vinted sellers seem much cheekier than eBay sellers (or more desperate?).
Shocked at how expensive children's clothes are, and things like outfits for weddings etc are a real bargain as they aren't as likely to be worn to death and I'll only use them once or twice.

SkankingWombat · 27/05/2024 06:57

I buy mostly clothes for DCs, but also sports equipment for them such as football boots and swim fins. I buy all their training swimming costumes on Vinted and they are rarely not immaculate (competition suits are bought new). Occasionally I buy shoes, clothes for me and toys.

I sell everything the DCs outgrow that will raise more than £1-2 after having also passed on a good amount already to friends. I find supermarket brands don't sell, even at £1 when in perfect condition, so I hand these down along with anything we were lucky enough to have handed down to us that is still good - it doesn't feel right to make money on that kind of gift. So mostly clothes, shoes and the aforementioned equipment. Coats sell particularly well.
I have also been trying to clear the backlog of outgrown stuff from Covid times when I wasn't able to sell at baby sales, so everything just got bundled into the loft. I have had success with baby towels and bedding, Gro bags, and phonics scheme books.
What rarely seems to sell on there are bundles, whether listed as a bundle or buyer-created (to take advantage of multi-buy discount and combined postage). I used to regularly buy smaller bundles of baby clothes when mine were tiny and thought they were great as they were often carefully put together to make an outfit/capsule wardrobe or all be of a similar taste. There was fierce competition for them locally on FB Marketplace! I always check the seller's other items before buying on Vinted and will often add additional items, but I wonder if others don't always know this is an option?
