Clothes the kids have outgrown I sell then buy the size up. Just recently got 2 pairs brand new jeans for my daughter £4 each. They still had the tags

SamW98 · 27/05/2024 09:07

Clotges. I wear most of them once then resell so I’ve constantly got a new wardrobe at very little cost.

People always comment I must spend a fortune on clothes - if only they knew

strugglingmomx · 27/05/2024 09:11

I buy Jordan's/other expensive ish trainers for my son as he's only 4 and I don't want to buy them full price, they're practically new on vinted but half the price! I love his shoe collection.

ACupOfTae · 27/05/2024 09:17

Most of my clothes, shoes & accessories for work.

I still work full time in the office and need to be reasonably smart.

I buy my work trousers new as I’m tall and it’s hard to find good quality, longer length trousers secondhand. But blazers, blouses, belts, loafers and pretty flat shoes, dresses - all bought secondhand from brands I like and that fit. Massimo Dutti, Zara, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Jigsaw, Hobbs mainly. I’ll buy cheaper brands I like - H&M etc - if they’re new with tags.

I’ve just bought 5 blazers for summer at work and a couple of pairs of smart shoes for under £150.

Oh puzzle bundles for toddler!

doneandone · 27/05/2024 09:41

Most of my clothes!! I tend not to spend over £5 on an item though (generally) in case it doesn't fit/isn't as expected. I just realist it if doesn't fit.

I've found YA books seem to sell really well on there.

Really?? That’s what I’m trying to sell. Read once. Can’t sell for a £1

CrispEater2000 · 27/05/2024 09:53

Mostly football boots for my son. Also use it to sell his old ones.

He's just outgrown a few pairs, one pair pretty much brand new so it was good to get some money back from them to go towards new ones. Others a bit worn but even getting £5-£10 creates a little pot of money to use on there.

I'm surprised, I've shifted quite a few on there. They are newer releases so that might have a bearing on it.

You’ll not sell one for £1 because the postage and fees don’t make it a bargain. You’re better off selling a few together.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 27/05/2024 16:28

I’ve tried £1 a book, I’ve tried a bundle of 3. I’ve tried a series together.

Dont have a problem selling clothes though.

Tisfortired · 27/05/2024 16:30

Clothes from brands that I couldn’t normally buy full price. I buy Arket, Cos, Sezane etc. I also buy quite a lot for toddler DS. My eldest is getting to the stage he likes certain brands so I don’t get much from there for him.

OvernightOatsAgain · 27/05/2024 16:31

Clothing from brands I couldn't otherwise afford, such as NYDJ jeans etc.

Moier · 27/05/2024 16:34

Just bought some Clarks sandals.. brand new in box for a tenner.. price on box says £89.
I tend to buy dresses for my hols ( l go on many hols).
Squishmellows for Grandson.
Handbags.

Chocolateorange22 · 27/05/2024 17:09

Really?

Yes. Retro cons in interesting colours. Find them pre worn looking more interesting.
The Waffen SS t shirts are a little rarer but I still like them.
