I buy books and clothing

OP posts:
Riverlee · 27/05/2024 06:59

I only sell.

Heatherbell1978 · 27/05/2024 07:05

Kids clothes. I do buy occasionally for myself but it's hit and miss I find with the quality. Kids clothes have usually been worn less so more bargains there.

PotatoPudding · 27/05/2024 07:06

I buy women’s clothing, footwear and bags, kids’ clothing and footwear, kids’ books, toys, bedding unopened in packaging, travel cups, basically everything.

I only buy footwear brand new, though. I won’t buy it if it doesn’t come with the box. It’s the only thing I am really specific about.

T shirts with slogans
Retro converse
Nazi memorabilia

Ineffable23 · 27/05/2024 07:09

I buy women's clothing but absolutely only brands I'm very familiar with, and often only a particular design of dress I know fits. I have used it very successfully to repurchase wardrobe favourites that are not made any more and which are wearing out.

Handbags - loads of handbags !

Clothing

Toys

I buy loads of bags too and sell them back on when I get bored of them 😂

DillyDeclutter · 27/05/2024 07:19

Kids clothes in bundles- e.g. 10 pairs of leggings, 4 dresses.

Occasionally I'll buy specific clothes where I have it in one size and I'd like the kids to match.

Specific toys that I can't find in the Charity shop e.g. just bought a Peppa Pig bundle - they fly off the shelves in our local charity shops.

Lately the stuff I list has been selling in hours. DH thinks I'm pricing too low but I find it sells within a day or not at all.

WoodBurningStov · 27/05/2024 07:51

Jeans and tops
Shoes
Ice cream maker

SatinHeart · 27/05/2024 08:00

Clothes for me mostly. I haven't had so much success with clothes for the kids on vinted, I think the good stuff must sell too quickly.

Misthios · 27/05/2024 08:04

Clothes for me, I have had a couple of nearly new dresses I'm very pleased with.

imnotthatkindofmum · 27/05/2024 08:12

Shoes and kids clothes.

AIBunnecessary · 27/05/2024 08:17

I buy a lot of the kids clothes on there, sometimes shoes if they are in as new condition. I don't tend to buy for myself as I struggle to get the right fit annoyingly but if I knew what I wanted and the correct size I would buy on vinted for sure.

I've also brought squishmallows and playmobil and other little toys for the kids on there.

I generally sell all the kids clothes on there also.

BouleDeSuif · 27/05/2024 08:27

Kid's clothes, school trousers etc. Sometimes shoes for me.

I buy Clothes.

I try to sell most things. Books never seem to sell well.

I've found YA books seem to sell really well on there.

So do kids’ books, especially reading books.

Really?

PotatoPudding · 27/05/2024 08:50

I thinks it’s especially good if you like certain brands and know what size you are in that brand. I love G-Star boyfriend jeans but they’re £100 a pop online. While they are excellent quality and suit me better than any other jeans, I would still rather not spend £100 on them. From Vinted, I have one pair BNWT for £20, one pair used but worn a couple of times for £10 and another for £6.

UnimaginableWindBird · 27/05/2024 08:51

Clothes. I've been especially successful in buying really good coats. I've spent £50 this year on two coats which would have cost around £1,000 in total if I'd bought them new.

Now that’s a bargain!

SmartiesParty · 27/05/2024 08:52

Baby clothes given they grow out of them so quickly

CalmConfident · 27/05/2024 08:52

This has encouraged me to get listing the huge pile of grey school trousers we seem to have accumulated. 2 crazy fast growing teens - I even have several pairs never worn with tags still on…but too late to return to M&S!

CalmConfident · 27/05/2024 08:53

Buying wise…Suits for 6th form, black tie formal wear and bed linen have been wins!
