Today I went to a smallish spa and the big (and only selling point) is the infinity pool.

Me and my friend were the only two in it until two other women joined. Maybe 5 minutes later a couple came in and one of the women turned to us and said “we should go and leave the couple to it”

Aibu to think being a couple doesn’t give you priority and neither should you ask other adults to leave when you have zero authority

Yanbu- did she think they were going to do something there? Ye could all easily have shared!!

Apart from anything else, how did she know you and YOUR friend weren't also a couple?

It was weird of her to say that but also doesn't really sound like she told you that you had to leave? I'm assuming you didn't?

True - title is misleading. OP was asked to leave by a member of the public, not told to leave by a member of staff.

the title says "told" - implies that the hotel/spa staff told you to leave - another guest saying she felt she/you ought to leave is somewhat different.

Yeah, agree about the whole 'told' aspect of it. Sounds more like a suggestion. From someone with no authority whatsoever. Nothing happened🤷🏻‍♀️

Well she wasn't even asked to leave by a member of the public?! A member of the public suggested they leave. That's completely different. My first thought was maybe the couple were kissing or something and it was a tongue in cheek comment.

I would be in there until I dissolved and they had to change the water
