In the same vain as my last post about what jobs would put you off..

Which careers would you imagine would make you more likely to date someone?
Light-hearted of course.

Mine would be-

@UntiltheGirl No, I used to work in academia. Believe me, I've known many.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the sleeping around at academic conferences (yes, even the married ones).

Footzok · 22/05/2024 21:19

From.a male view point.

A mechanic or electrician as I can't understand either engines or electricity
A racing driver because every woman I know expects me to drive every time and just once, I'd like to be a passenger/have a drink!

Accountants are renowned for being not that great with their own money. Not sure how true it is. The rest probably has nothing to do with his being an accountant Smile

My husband is an auditor, and I've had to patiently (then not so patiently 2-3 times more) explain our maternity finances through the year. He's still not clued in to be honest. It's a very simple spreadsheet.

He's been responsible for issuing bonds in the billions range, but he still doesn't understand 'we need an average of X per month. We earn y per month for 9 months then z for 3 months. We need to save the shortfall of (y-x)*3 to cover the months we're only earning z'.

To answer the OP, as I said in the other thread, IT or programming work. Excellent pay, flexi terms and tend to be intelligent with broad interests and not usually that into sports.

strugglingmomx · 23/05/2024 08:15

Company director / own business. I like to travel a lot and having a partner that also has that flexibility was a big bonus to me.Smile
